The lawyer William Twopenny commissioned Archer to produce about 20 drawings a year of London, from which these are a selection. Frontis lightly browned in the outer margin with water stain at foot not near text and chips to edges from damp, the plates themselves entirely clean with no foxing. Half morocco over original cloth, spine gilt lettered, raised bands, blind decoration in compartments, Arms of the Corporation gilt within wreath on upper cover. a clean tight copy. Size: Folio.
