Zwemer (1867?1952), often called ?the Apostle to Islam,? was a pioneering Reformed Church missionary in Arabia, later a professor of Christian Missions and the History of Religion at Princeton Theological Seminary. He was a prolific writer and a passionate advocate for the uniqueness of Christ and the worldwide missionary task. The book responds to contemporary challenges to the finality and exclusivity of the Christian message, including the statement by Mahatma Gandhi: ?I am unable to place Jesus Christ on a solitary throne.?PROVENANCE: This book is from the library of Calvin Thielman, pastor for over thirty years to Billy Graham and his family. His personal library stamp and written name is written within the front endpapers. ABOUT THIS COPY: This hardcover is bound in light teal cloth. Covers are plain except for a double border in black along the edges. Black lettering on the spine. Printed on thick, cotton rag paper. Frontispiece is a black and white portrait of the author, S. M. Zwemer. Large print.
