Anthony collaborated with Elizabeth Cady Stanton in efforts to abolish slavery and secure equal rights for women. She is considered a very important figure in the history of Rochester, New York, where she spent much of her life. She is buried there at Mount Hope Cemetery, and each year advocates for equal rights visit her grave to honor her advocacy and activism.
