Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Writing My Way HomeIn Search of The Self, Through Travel and WithinA Memoir in Stand-Alone Reflections This memoir is not a linear story. It is a record of a mind learning how to stay awake, and how writing became the means to do so.Written across continents, in libraries, airplanes, worksh…ops, cafes, and borrowed rooms, Writing My Way Home is a collection of stand-alone reflections shaped by migration, labor, faith, family, and the long, uneven process of coming into honesty with oneself through writing. At the center of the book is a man trained as a scholar and teacher who repeatedly finds himself working far from the life he was prepared for. Over the years, he moves between roles that rarely sit comfortably together. He is a university professor and a language instructor at the United Nations in New York. He is also an auto repair shop worker, a furniture store employee, a flea market watch seller, a rideshare driver for Uber, Lyft, and Uber Eats, a restaurant waiter, and a temporary laborer of many kinds. These shifts are not experiments or detours. They are attempts to provide, endure, and remain afloat while protecting an inner life that resists erasure. The book begins with the formation of an outsider's consciousness, showing how displacement, class, and quiet exclusions shape identity long before a person can name them. It moves into years of pressure and endurance, where survival requires work that conflicts with the inner life and erodes alignment. From there, the narrative turns inward, documenting how writing, alongside discipline, prayer, and restraint, becomes a way not only to survive, but to see clearly. Through writing, the author begins to recognize patterns, confront hesitation, and slowly reconcile with the self that had long been deferred. The final act arrives at a place of discernment, where rejection is reinterpreted, trust replaces frantic pursuit, and meaning is found not in control, but in attention. These chapters are not confessions, nor are they arguments. They do not offer easy redemption or tidy conclusions. Instead, they ask a more demanding question: How does one live truthfully when certainty never arrives, and when the work that feeds the body does not always nourish the soul?Grounded in faith without preaching, reflective without abstraction, and intimate without exhibition, Writing My Way Home speaks to readers who live between worlds, who have worked many lives inside one body, who know the cost of drift, and who understand that writing can be more than expression. It can be a form of return. This is a book for readers who believe that clarity is not always loud, that dignity can survive misalignment, and that a meaningful life is often rebuilt quietly, one page, one practice, one honest reckoning at a time. Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Adam, a quiet and introspective 16-year-old, feels perpetually overshadowed, constantly battling a nagging sense of inadequacy. Plagued by poor grades, social anxieties, and the weight of his father's expectations, he struggles to find his place in a world that seems to effortlessly celebra…te everyone else's successes. Each day is a battle against the invisible chains of fear and self-doubt, leaving him longing for a different version of himself, a self he isn't sure he can ever become. His loyal friend, Layla, offers unwavering support, but Adam's internal struggles often push him deeper into his shell. A series of seemingly insignificant events-a fallen red leaf, a neglected guitar, and a spontaneous decision to volunteer for the school's chaotic talent show-begin to stir a dormant spark of rebellion within him. As he navigates the tumultuous waters of organizing the show, he's forced to confront his fears, make tough decisions, and step into a role he never imagined for himself.Guided by the wisdom of a thoughtful mentor, Adam embarks on a profound journey of self-discovery, learning that true worth isn't found in external validation or comparison, but in the courage to face one's inner demons. "Behind the Mirror" is an emotionally rich and deeply relatable novel for young readers, exploring the universal themes of identity, resilience, and the empowering realization that every challenge is an opportunity for growth. Adam's unexpected path to self-acceptance culminates in a surprising, poignant ending that celebrates the quiet power of finding your own light, proving that the most significant victories are often the unseen ones. Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. A signal from Vega. A code hidden in the laws of physics. A choice that will define humanity. At 3:47 AM, every radio telescope on Earth receives the same transmission. It isn't random noise. She expects to find alien intelligence; instead, she finds something far more shattering: proof that the universe was designed. But the truth is dangerous. The Prometheus Foundation, a shadowy organization with deep government ties, will stop at nothing to suppress the signal and maintain the status quo. As Sarah races to decipher the "Big Five Truths" encoded in the transmission, she realizes this is more than just a scientific discovery-it is a cosmic test. With humanity given just one year to prove its readiness for "Cosmic Citizenship," Sarah must lead a global battle against ignorance and fear.
