Hardcover. Condizione: Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First Edition (SD). Flat-signed by the author on the title page. This book is an excellent condition. As you can see, the black covers are exceptionally clean. The corners and edges are free of wear. The silver lettering on the spine is very bright. The page edges are perfectly clean. The book is square and very solidly bound with nicely tight pages throughout. There are no binding issues. The pages are bright and exceptionally clean. I'm not seeing any soiling at all. Same goes for creasing, not seeing any at all. There are no markings. No attachments. And with the exception of the author's signature, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. The dust jacket can be seen in the first few photos. It too is perfectly clean. There are no tears. There's a bit of crinkling off the top edge of the spine and just adjacent. There is a thin crease off the top corner of the front flap, a tiny one at the inside bottom corner of the rear flap. The flaps are perfectly clean. The jacket is not priced or clipped. It will be fitted with a protective cover after the photos are scanned. 'These essays are abundant in insights. Gerald Dawe shows himself amicably opinionated, vigilant, resourceful and straightforward and can claim a good deal of affinity with Louis MacNeice's "Individualist", escaping with his dog on the other side of the fair.'--- Patricia Craig, Times Literary Supplement.
