Aggiungi al carrelloHardcover. Condizione: As New. Condizione sovraccoperta: Near Fine. The Water-Babies, A Fairy Tale for a Land Baby is a children's novel by Charles Kingsley. Written in 1862-63 as a serial for Macmillan's Magazine, it was first published in its entirety in 1863. It was meant as part satire in support of Charles Darwin's The Origin of Species but became a mainstay of British children's literature. Blackie & Sons Ltd., printed in Glasgow, undated, estimate 1931. White/navy tweed covers with brilliant scarlet lettering on the spine. Only the dust jacket is illustrated and the illustrator's name is not mentioned. There is shelf wear to the top of the dust jacket, but it has done its job, and there is no fading to the jacket. The book has never been read. I don't think it's ever been opened. The spine is not cracked, the price remains on the dust jacket, it is spotlessly clean.
