The eff…ect of current collapse, the root cause of leakage currents as well as field-dependent self-heating effects have been investigated by eletrical characterization using well established techniques and have been analyzed using 2-dimensional physical device simulations. It will be shown that the origin of all effects is strongly related to the device surface and some are even competing effects making device optimization a challenge. However, a detailed localization of the regions affecting device performance will be given leading to a better understanding for fabrication process optimization. Finally, I simulation study is conducted giving suggestions for RF gain improvement based on very simple device layout variations. 130 pp. Englisch.

In fact, dietary components such as ca…rbohydrates and protein, but also a variety of feed additives may affect the intestinal microbial ecosystem. In most of the in vitro fermentation studies over the past years, a buffered system was used to maintain a constant osmolarity, thereby minimizing osmotic stress for the microbes and supporting optimal fermentation conditions. In the present work, the Hohenheimer Futterwerttest (HFT) was modified by increasing osmolarity in the medium, to impose osmotic stress on the microbes. Increased osmolarity in the environment might be more related to in vivo conditions, as they may occur during stress situations, e.g. diarrhea (chapter 3). Therefore, effects of an osmotic stress situation on selected bacteria strains in vitro were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed by use of molecular techniques (real-time PCR) (chapter 3). In addition, the feed additive betaine, which is one of the most ubiquitous compatible solutes used both by prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, has been suggested to enhance microbial fermentation. Therefore, the effects of betaine in combination with different carbohydrates and proteins on fermentation characteristics were tested under normal (chapter 2) and osmotic stress conditions (chapter 4) in vitro. In conclusion, increased osmolarity in vitro may influence microbial fermentation and bacterial composition by creating a stress situation for the microbiota of the inoculum. 156 pp. Englisch.

The project was…aimed at softening the reform¿s impact on growers income by improving their knowledge on raising sugar yield and identifying possible cost savings. From each sugar beet growing region in The Netherlands, 26 pairs of ¿type top¿ (high yielding) and ¿type average¿ (average yielding) farmers were selected, based on the average yield of the farm in 2000-2004. All measures of sugar beet cultivation, costs calculation and phytopathological, agronomical and soil characteristics were investigated from 2006 and 2007 on 75 fields of ¿type top¿ and 74 fields of ¿type average¿ growersin relation to yield and quality. The factors year and grower caused most of the significant effects on yield, quality and cost variables. The ¿type top¿ growers had significantly 20% higher sugar yield in each year compared to ¿type average¿ growers, but the total variable costs did not differ. This makes the ¿type top¿ growers more efficient in resource use. Costs for manure and fertiliser, ¿other¿ and irrigation significantly increased the total variable costs. With higher fungicide costs, sugar yield significantly increased. However, there was no significant relation between the intensity of sugar beet production and sugar yield so that the observed differences in sugar yield were not caused by economical constraints. Based on this study, it can be concluded that the most profitable strategy for the growers is maximising sugar yield and optimising costs. 150 pp. Englisch.

This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -In this work scanning probe techniques, namely frequency-modulated atomic force microscopy (FM-AFM) in the non-contact regime and related methods like Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM), magnetic force microscopy (MFM), and magne…tic exchange force microscopy (MExFM), are utilized in ultra high vacuum and at low temperatures to structurally, electronically and magnetically study the monolayer regime of iron on tungsten (001) in real space. Implementing the spectroscopic mode of MExFM, that is, magnetic exchange force spectroscopy (MExFS), the exchange interaction between single iron atoms with antiparallel coupling is experimentally accessed for the ¿rst time.Iron grows pseudomorphically on W(001) whereby the layers are highly strained. Di¿erences in strain between ¿rst and second layer iron and hybridization with the substrate lead to di¿erences in electronic properties and magnetism: both layers exhibit a di¿erent work function, mapped with KPFM. Interestingly, even on the same layer, di¿erent work functions are observed. Moreover, both layers are magnetically di¿erent. The second layer is ferromagnetic (FM) with in-plane anisotropy as veri¿ed by MFM, while the ¿rst layer is antiferromagnetic (AF) with out-of-plane anisotropy. Using MexFM the AF alignment of the monolayer magnetic moments is resolved by detecting the short-ranged magnetic exchange force between tip and sample. The origin of the magnetic contrast formation is discussed and compared to ab initio calculations. Later, MExFS, which allows to directly measure the distance dependence of the magnetic exchange interaction between an atomically sharp magnetic tip and the antiferromagnetically ordered Fe monolayer on W(001), is employed. The site speci¿c distance dependence of the total tip-sample interaction is recorded above Fe atoms which exhibit parallel as well as antiparallel atomic magnetic moments. The contribution of the magnetic exchange interaction between both sites can be extracted by subtracting the two curves from each other. All other interactions are identical on both sites. The experimental results are compared to ab initio calculations accounting for magnetically di¿erent tips composed of either Cr or Fe, or mixtures of both. Depending on symmetry and stability of the experimentally used probe tips, qualitatively di¿erent MExFM contrasts and MExFS data with a stronger distance dependence are observed. By analyzing the energy loss per single cantilever oscillation cycle, simultaneously recorded with topography and frequency shift in the experiments, a bottom-up characterization of the structurally and magnetically unknown probe tip apex is given. Considering the tip apex as magnetically and structurally independent cluster allows to explain the observed tip behavior. 144 pp. Englisch.

LSPs in turn are seeking long-term contracts and higher margins on comprehensive services compared to the price-driven transportation business. In order to reduce managerial efforts, various services are shifted to a limited number of service providers, resulting in comprehensive service bundles being outsourced. As these service bundles are complex and involve specific investments, creating dependency, long-term relationships between the customer ¿ the shipper ¿ and the LSP are established. Hence contract logistics requires profound knowledge and skills of both the LSP and the shipper to successfully establish satisfactory relationships. The design of appropriate service bundles is particularly challenging. The decisions made in this phase form the basis for the relationship of the involved parties. Contract logistics service bundles need to be designed in a way that satisfies both partners in order to guarantee successful contract logistics in the sense of a longterm, stable relationship. However, research has not satisfactory focused on this topic. This dissertation discusses factors that influence successful service bundle design and identifies significant contributors in order to conceptualise the design of contract logistics service bundles and provide guidance for service bundle design based on literature review and empirical investigation.The research at hand focuses on three cornerstones of successful contract logistics service bundle design. First, the resources of LSPs are analysed with respect to their relevance for the design of contract logistics service bundles. Second, the understanding and transfer of shipper needs into the designed service bundles is examined. However, the utmost starting point of the majority of those cultivations, the inoculum consisting of fungal spores, has previously been neglected. T…his work hence introduces a total of nine spore quality indicators and subsequently correlates the sporulation environome to the properties of the generated spores and their performance in submerged cultivation. The model organism is Aspergillus ochraceus while the model process is the hydroxylation of a steroid. A positive correlation between the spore yield and the substrate¿s carbon content on solid medium was found with oat bran agar giving best yields of 26 107 spores/mL at carbon concentrations of 15.4 g/L in the solid medium. The assessment of the conidial metabolome revealed the presence of 126 metabolites. Particularly polyols, such as glycerol, erythritol and ribitol, are found at high concentrations of up to 55 ng/105 spores. It was further shown, that several of these metabolites are degraded within the spores during storage for 7 d in saline solution. Their concentrations also strongly correlate with the storage resistance of the conidia as well as with their performance in subsequent submerged cultivations. Highest reactant turnover of approx. 80 % was determined after 72 h of cultivation with spores generated on wheat bran agar. The culture performance is further a function of the portion of protein bound NADH, which was determined and spatially visualized by means of two-photon fluorescence lifetime imaging. 182 pp. Englisch.

In this thesis, spin-polarized STM (SP-STM) and Inelastic Scanning Tunneling Spectroscopy (ISTS) are utilized to investigate Fe atoms on the semiconducting InSb(110) surface and the metallic Cu(111) and Ag(111) surfaces. Model calculations of tunneling through an excitable quantum spin system and analytical investigations of the model, as well as quasi-classical and Ising model calculations of coupled spin systems prepare the ground for the theoretical description of the experiments. The ISTS measurements of Fe on InSb(110) are the first observation of spin excitations of individual magnetic atoms on a semiconductor surface. By comparing the experimental data to Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations performed by S. Schuwalow and F. Lechermann and to model calculations, it is found that the Fe atoms behave like quantum spins with spin quantum number S = 1, which are subject to magnetic anisotropy in the meV range. The Fe atoms are coupled to a two dimensional electron system (2DES) which is induced at the surface by positively charged adsorbates. The spectroscopic peaks of the spin-split Landau levels of this 2DES show an asymmetry of their amplitudes when the tunnel current is passed through the Fe atoms. It is shown that the Landau level asymmetry, recorded as a function of external magnetic field, can be interpreted as a new type of Single Atom Magnetization Curve (SAMC). Measurements of the Landau level asymmetry with magnetic tips can be used to quantitatively determine the spin polarization of the tip. SP-STM measurements of the SAMCs of single Fe atoms on Cu(111) show that the Fe atoms behave paramagnetically with a broad statistical distribution of the effective magnetic moment, centered around 3.5 ¿B. ISTS measurements on the same system reveal a magnetic anisotropy energy in the meV range, a g-factor of about 2.1, and a very broad, energy dependent spin-excitation line width in the meV range. Analogous ISTS measurements of Fe on Ag(111) show similar behavior, but with a three times larger anisotropy energy, and a g-factor of roughly 3.1. The observations can be interpreted in the context of advanced calculations including spin-orbit coupling and the Cu/Ag(111) surface state performed by S. Lounis et al. 206 pp. Englisch.

Desweiteren wurden Reaktionen von Chrom und Vanadium in Verbindung mit 2-pyridyltriazol-Liganden durchgeführt und auch diese auf ihre magnetischen Eigenschaften hin untersucht. Als interessanteste Ergebnisse sind ein achtkerniger [Cr4Dy4]-3d/4f-Komplex zu nennen, der das erste Beispiel für eine Cr-Ln-Verbindung darstellt, die Einzelmolekülmagnet-Verhalten aufweist. Desweiteren ist es gelungen, das erste Beispiel einer V-Ln-Verbindung darzustellen, die als Einzelmolekülmagnet identifiziert werden konnte. Es handelt sich dabei um eine kristallographisch sehr interessante Struktur eines [V8Dy6]-Kerns. Aus Solvothermalreaktionen von Chrom und Vanadium in Verbindung mit den 2-pyridyltriazol-Liganden ist eine dimere Chromverbindung hervorzuheben, bei der es sich um eine der ersten Verbindungen handelt, die eine ferromagnetische Kopplung zwischen den Cr-Cr-Metallzentren aufweist. 218 pp. Englisch.

In most of the in vitro fermentation studies over the past years, a buffered system was used to maintain a constant osmolarity, thereby minimizing osmotic stress for the microbes and supporting optimal fermentation conditions. In the present work, the Hohenheimer Futterwerttest (HFT) was modified by increasing osmolarity in the medium, to impose osmotic stress on the microbes. Increased osmolarity in the environment might be more related to in vivo conditions, as they may occur during stress situations, e.g. diarrhea (chapter 3). Therefore, effects of an osmotic stress situation on selected bacteria strains in vitro were qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed by use of molecular techniques (real-time PCR) (chapter 3). In addition, the feed additive betaine, which is one of the most ubiquitous compatible solutes used both by prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, has been suggested to enhance microbial fermentation. Therefore, the effects of betaine in combination with different carbohydrates and proteins on fermentation characteristics were tested under normal (chapter 2) and osmotic stress conditions (chapter 4) in vitro. Neuware -In this work scanning probe techniques, namely frequency-modulated atomic force microscopy (FM-AFM) in the non-contact regime and related methods like Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM), magnetic force microscopy (MFM), and magnetic…exchange force microscopy (MExFM), are utilized in ultra high vacuum and at low temperatures to structurally, electronically and magnetically study the monolayer regime of iron on tungsten (001) in real space. Implementing the spectroscopic mode of MExFM, that is, magnetic exchange force spectroscopy (MExFS), the exchange interaction between single iron atoms with antiparallel coupling is experimentally accessed for the ¿rst time.Iron grows pseudomorphically on W(001) whereby the layers are highly strained. Di¿erences in strain between ¿rst and second layer iron and hybridization with the substrate lead to di¿erences in electronic properties and magnetism: both layers exhibit a di¿erent work function, mapped with KPFM. Interestingly, even on the same layer, di¿erent work functions are observed. Moreover, both layers are magnetically di¿erent. The second layer is ferromagnetic (FM) with in-plane anisotropy as veri¿ed by MFM, while the ¿rst layer is antiferromagnetic (AF) with out-of-plane anisotropy. Using MexFM the AF alignment of the monolayer magnetic moments is resolved by detecting the short-ranged magnetic exchange force between tip and sample. The origin of the magnetic contrast formation is discussed and compared to ab initio calculations. Later, MExFS, which allows to directly measure the distance dependence of the magnetic exchange interaction between an atomically sharp magnetic tip and the antiferromagnetically ordered Fe monolayer on W(001), is employed. The site speci¿c distance dependence of the total tip-sample interaction is recorded above Fe atoms which exhibit parallel as well as antiparallel atomic magnetic moments. The contribution of the magnetic exchange interaction between both sites can be extracted by subtracting the two curves from each other. All other interactions are identical on both sites. The experimental results are compared to ab initio calculations accounting for magnetically di¿erent tips composed of either Cr or Fe, or mixtures of both. Depending on symmetry and stability of the experimentally used probe tips, qualitatively di¿erent MExFM contrasts and MExFS data with a stronger distance dependence are observed. By analyzing the energy loss per single cantilever oscillation cycle, simultaneously recorded with topography and frequency shift in the experiments, a bottom-up characterization of the structurally and magnetically unknown probe tip apex is given. In order to reduce managerial efforts, various services are shifted to a limited number of service providers, resulting in comprehensive service bundles being outsourced. As these service bundles are complex and involve specific investments, creating dependency, long-term relationships between the customer - the shipper - and the LSP are established. Hence contract logistics requires profound knowledge and skills of both the LSP and the shipper to successfully establish satisfactory relationships. The design of appropriate service bundles is particularly challenging. The decisions made in this phase form the basis for the relationship of the involved parties. Contract logistics service bundles need to be designed in a way that satisfies both partners in order to guarantee successful contract logistics in the sense of a longterm, stable relationship. However, research has not satisfactory focused on this topic. This dissertation discusses factors that influence successful service bundle design and identifies significant contributors in order to conceptualise the design of contract logistics service bundles and provide guidance for service bundle design based on literature review and empirical investigation.The research at hand focuses on three cornerstones of successful contract logistics service bundle design. However, the utmost starting point of the majority of those cultivations, the inoculum consisting of fungal spores, has previously been neglected. This…work hence introduces a total of nine spore quality indicators and subsequently correlates the sporulation environome to the properties of the generated spores and their performance in submerged cultivation. The model organism is Aspergillus ochraceus while the model process is the hydroxylation of a steroid. A positive correlation between the spore yield and the substrate's carbon content on solid medium was found with oat bran agar giving best yields of 26 107 spores/mL at carbon concentrations of 15.4 g/L in the solid medium. The assessment of the conidial metabolome revealed the presence of 126 metabolites. Particularly polyols, such as glycerol, erythritol and ribitol, are found at high concentrations of up to 55 ng/105 spores. It was further shown, that several of these metabolites are degraded within the spores during storage for 7 d in saline solution. Their concentrations also strongly correlate with the storage resistance of the conidia as well as with their performance in subsequent submerged cultivations. Highest reactant turnover of approx. 80 % was determined after 72 h of cultivation with spores generated on wheat bran agar. Die DH-Technik lässt sich in zwei Schritte unterteilen: 1.) die Induktion von materna…len Haploiden durch Bestäubung mit sogenannten Inducerlinien und 2.) die Aufregulierung der Chromosomen-sätze zur Erzeugung von Doppelhaploiden durch die Behandlung mit einem Mitosegift. Insgesamt können bei jedem Schritt zwischen 1 - 10 % Haploide bzw. Doppelhaploide erzeugt werden. Dies zeigt somit noch ein deutliches Optimierungspotential auf. Zum einen ist der Mechanismus der Haploideninduktion noch nicht vollständig geklärt und die Induktionsraten sind teilweise stark vom jeweiligen Genotyp abhängig. Zum anderen wird zur Aufregulierung der Chromosomensätze immer noch sehr häufig das im Speziellen für Säuger hochtoxische Alkaloid Colchicin eingesetzt. Aufgrund seiner geringen Spezifität für Pflanzenspindeln wird eine relativ hohe Menge an Colchicin benötigt, was die Anwendung teuer und vor allem für den Anwender gefährlich macht.Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit war es die Doppelhaploiden-Technik bei Mais durch die Bestimmung von mindergiftigen und möglichst effizienten Colchicin-Alternativen zu verbessern. Hierfür wurden folgende Arbeitsschritte durchgeführt:- Beurteilung von möglichen Colchicin-Alternativen durch Behandlung von Wurzelspitzen (chemische Substanzen, physikalische Methoden).- Optimierung der Inkubationsparameter zur Behandlung von Haploiden mit Colchicin-Alternativen.- Ermittlung neuer Colchicin-Alternativen über Hochdurchsatz-Screening einer Chemikalien-Bibliothek.- Untersuchung des Mechanismus der Haploideninduktion.Bei der Behandlung von Wurzelmeristemen konnte gezeigt werden, dass die drei Herbizide APM, Oryzalin und Pronamid als Colchicin-Alternativen eingesetzt werden können. Verglichen mit Colchicin weisen sie alle eine deutlich geringere Toxizität für Säuger auf. Außerdem wäre ihr Einsatz durch die deutlich geringer benötigten Konzentrationen auch kosteneffizienter als eine Colchicinbehandlung. Nach Behandlung Haploider konnten jedoch bisher mit keiner Alternativbehandlung Doppelhaploide erzeugt werden.Die Behandlungsparameter für Colchicin konnten im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit weiter optimiert werden. So zeigte sich durch die Belüftung der Behandlungslösung ein deutlicher Anstieg der Keimlingsvitalität. Außerdem konnten nach der Behandlung zwei Tage alter Keimlinge die meisten Keimlinge mit verdoppeltem Chromosomensatz erzeugt werden. Aufgrund der vielversprechenden Eigenschaften der Herbizide APM, Oryzalin und Pronamid sollten weitere Experimente durchgeführt werden, sobald größere Mengen an haploidem Saatgut zur Verfügung stehen.Das Screeningverfahren der LATCA-Bibliothek unter Verwendung einer transgenen Arabidopsis thaliana Linie zeigte sich als äußerst effektiv zur Ermittlung von Mitoseinhibitoren. Nach Durchführung des Screenings von ~3600 chemischen Substanzen in drei Stufen konnten 51 Kandidaten von Colchicin-Alternativen ermittelt werden. Diese Substanzen sollten durch Behandlung von haploiden Maiskeimlingen genauer evaluiert werden. Denkbar wäre auch das Screening weiterer Bibliotheken zur Entdeckung von Mitoseinhibitoren.Durch ein besseres Verständnis des Mechanismus der Haploideninduktion könnte diese Technik verbessert und somit der Einsatz von Colchicin eingeschränkt werden. Anhand der bisherigen Ergebnisse können jedoch keine Aussagen über den Mechanismus der Haploideninduktion getroffen werden. Das eingesetzte Testsystem sollte daher noch weiter optimiert werden.Die vorliegende Arbeit konnte zeigen, dass die Effizienz zur Erzeugung doppelhaploider Maispflanzen durch den Einsatz von Colchicin-Alternativen verbessert werden könnte. Zum Verstehen und Optimieren dieser Prozesse sind Informationen bezüglich der Schichtdicke sowie des zeitlichen Ve…rhaltens des Films unabdingbar. Ein Messverfahren, das es ermöglicht Flüssigkeitsfilme hinsichtlich ihrer Dicke und Form zu erfassen, würde einen großen Beitrag zum Erreichen dieser Ziele leisten. Das im Rahmen dieser Arbeit entwickelte und angewandte, quantitative Verfahren zur Messung von Wasserfilmdicken auf Oberflächen basiert zum einen auf der Laser-induzierten Fluoreszenz sowie auf der spontanen Ramanstreuung an Wassermolekülen. Im Vergleich zu bestehenden Messmethoden bieten diese den Vorteil einer zweidimensionalen Auflösung auch für die Detektion verdampfender Wasserfilme. Die Fluoreszenz stammt dabei von zugesetzten Tracersubstanzen, deren Fluoreszenzintensität in Abhängigkeit von Konzentration und Temperatur untersucht wurde. Zur Anwendung in verdampfenden Systemen, in denen der Tracer ein koevaporatives Verhalten zeigen soll, wurden Gleichgewichtsberechnungen durchgeführt, um an die Verdampfungseigenschaften von Wasser angepasste Fluoreszenzmarker auszuwählen. Ethyl-Acetoacetat erfüllt die geforderten Eigenschaften und wurde als Tracer für die hier vorgestellten Untersuchungen verwendet.Kalibriermessungen an bekannten Schichtdicken in einer Kalibrierzelle liefern den Zusammenhang des detektierten Signals von der Filmdicke für einen Schichtdickenbereich von 5 bis 1000 ¿m. Während für erste grundlegende Untersuchungen die Filme mit einer Pipette sowie eines Injektors auf eine transparente Oberfläche aufgebracht wurden, wird in einem zweiten Schritt die Übertragung auf ein technisches System, einen Strömungskanal mit der Möglichkeit einer Einspritzung der Tracer-Wasser-Lösungen vollzogen. Hier werden Schichtdicken auf einer metallischen Oberfläche bestimmt. Phasenaufgelöste Messungen liefern eine Aussage über die zeitliche Entwicklung der Filme während des Einspritzvorgangs. Sie geben neben der Kontur ebenfalls eine Aussage hinsichtlich der aufgebrachten Flüssigkeitsmasse, während zeitlich aufgelöste Untersuchungen den Vorgang der Filmverdampfung auf einer beheizten Oberfläche betrachten. Das kann in Form politischer Partizipation jenseits von Parteipolitik und im Ehrenamt in den verschiedensten Bereichen (z.B. in Vereinen, Initiativen, Gruppen, Projekten) sein. Die Formen bürgerschaftlichen Engagements in Dorfgemeinschaften, positive Beispiele, aber auch problematische Erfahrungen sowie Forderungenan die politischen Akteure zur Stärkung der Zivilgesellschaft in ländlichen Räumen standen im Zentrum des 17. Neuware -Spin-sensitive low temperature Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) measurements provide the unique capability to study structural, electronic and magnetic properties of individual and coupled magnetic atoms on surfaces with high energy… resolution. In this thesis, spin-polarized STM (SP-STM) and Inelastic Scanning Tunneling Spectroscopy (ISTS) are utilized to investigate Fe atoms on the semiconducting InSb(110) surface and the metallic Cu(111) and Ag(111) surfaces. Model calculations of tunneling through an excitable quantum spin system and analytical investigations of the model, as well as quasi-classical and Ising model calculations of coupled spin systems prepare the ground for the theoretical description of the experiments. The ISTS measurements of Fe on InSb(110) are the first observation of spin excitations of individual magnetic atoms on a semiconductor surface. By comparing the experimental data to Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations performed by S. Schuwalow and F. Lechermann and to model calculations, it is found that the Fe atoms behave like quantum spins with spin quantum number S = 1, which are subject to magnetic anisotropy in the meV range. The Fe atoms are coupled to a two dimensional electron system (2DES) which is induced at the surface by positively charged adsorbates. The spectroscopic peaks of the spin-split Landau levels of this 2DES show an asymmetry of their amplitudes when the tunnel current is passed through the Fe atoms. It is shown that the Landau level asymmetry, recorded as a function of external magnetic field, can be interpreted as a new type of Single Atom Magnetization Curve (SAMC). Measurements of the Landau level asymmetry with magnetic tips can be used to quantitatively determine the spin polarization of the tip. SP-STM measurements of the SAMCs of single Fe atoms on Cu(111) show that the Fe atoms behave paramagnetically with a broad statistical distribution of the effective magnetic moment, centered around 3.5 ¿B. ISTS measurements on the same system reveal a magnetic anisotropy energy in the meV range, a g-factor of about 2.1, and a very broad, energy dependent spin-excitation line width in the meV range. Analogous ISTS measurements of Fe on Ag(111) show similar behavior, but with a three times larger anisotropy energy, and a g-factor of roughly 3.1. The observations can be interpreted in the context of advanced calculations including spin-orbit coupling and the Cu/Ag(111) surface state performed by S.
