POOR CONDITION - DISBOUND AND INCOMPLETE. SOLD AS IS. Black cloth slipcase, H 37.75cm x L 29cm, rubbed and stained but seams are firm. Black cloth boards but spine removed and interior leaves loose with many missing. Book should have 160 numbered pages BUT MANY LEAVES REMOVED. Book retains pages 1-4, 9-24, 31-40, 45-60, 63-98, 111-112, 117-128, 131-134, 139-144, 153-154, plus rear unpaged Index leaf. The book belonged to renowned makeup artist Billy Brasfield (aka Billy B) and was acquired directly from his June 2022 hometown warehouse cleanout sale in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Some (but not all) of the missing leaves were framed and present at the Brasfield sale but left behind as the frame trimming to the sheets was irreparable. Brasfield started working with photographer and director Ken Nahoum in the early 1990s. It seems likely that Brasfield disbound the book so as frame individual pages which featured models-subjects who were Brasfield clients. OCLC does not locate any copies of this monograph at any member institutions and it was probably issued as an author gift book with a very limited printing with copies presented to friends, colleagues, and clients.
