First published in Australia as a paperback original, this is the first UK printing and first hardcover edition. I believe that the author, bestselling Australian writer, Nikki Gemmell, was "outed" as the author even before the book was published, but they still went along with the intrigue of publishing it as "anonymous". Popular and controversial (as novels with explicit sex scenes tend to be - can we say "Fifty Shades of Grey"?), the book has become Gemmell's best known work. Edges are browned (not an uncommon flaw with this book), very slight wear to spine ends, but a very good copy in a very good dust jacket slightly faded on spine panel. The interesting jacket artwork is by the Spanish fashion illustrator, Paula Sanz Caballero. MC.
