The original 1904 edition but a reading copy only. 2 maps showing the route, and 82 photo illustrations (one sheet with two images is not present). The expedition was studying the feasibility of a railroad to connect Paris to New York (18,494 miles). The Moscow to Bering Straits part used 808 horses, 887 reindeer, and 114 dogs. Not an easy trip described in detail. Interior is unmarked, tight and clean - and complete except for the one photo sheet.
