Aggiungi al carrelloSoft cover. Condizione: Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: None issued. I am very tempted to list this at $250 as it is just an absolute aviation treat. Anyhoo, should the 250 not be forthcoming here's the details - this book presents the men, the women, the machines and the indomitable spirit of all those drawn into conflict from 1916 to 1945 - and beyond, told through the story of RAF Biggin Hill, the most famous fighter station in the world. Photos, cartoons, crewmen then, crewmen now, crashes, successes, sadness, celebration. The Bump was a curvature on the Biggin airfield and many pilots felt that this was like coming home, so the book was a request from the RAF top brass who had read about the success of In The Wake of the Hurricane and felt that Bob had the tools and skills to produce a review history of Biggin before the RAF left the drome and all the history was forgotten, hence the title. 160pp & right on 500g for post. Faults? Thumbed/bumped lower right corner. Size: 21cm. Book.
