In his 15-year role as Executive Director and Chairman of The National Poetry Association in San Francisco, Mueller presented thousands of national and international poets, artists, dancers & musicians in weekly events and annual large-scale festivals. In 1994, he was named one the best cultural organizers in the Bay Area. - He taught literary history at the University of California/Berkeley and lectured at Innsbruck University, American University, the University of Texas/Austin, and elsewhere. He worked as science writer at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, served as Executive Director of the Seven College Consortium in Missouri, and CEO of the International Museum of Art & Science in Texas.
