Neuware - Indagaciones is a third-year (sometimes called post-intermediate) Spanish textbook that introduces students to texts (literary, nonfiction, and cinematic) and textual reading in Spanish following a cultural studies approach. This book provides them with the linguistic scaffold necessary to get students to the advanced language levels. This textbook is best used for 5th and 6th semester Spanish courses (following third year). These courses usually teach either grammar and composition (for which Gramatica is a good choice) or literature. Often, students are not yet ready to tackle literature on their own and, when they do, require much work by teachers to provide missing grammar, vocabulary, and other information. This book bridges that gap. Students might use this book and follow it by using the Comfort book. Providing all manner of texts (visual, literary, and cinematic), the book gives students ample opportunities to practice reading and textual analysis (including understanding cultural cues), expanding their vocabulary, and addressing relevant grammar points.
