Medienwirksam präsentierte Projekte wie die Wüstenstrom-Initiative Desertec oder die geplante Nabucco-Pipeline erwecken das Interesse der europäischen Bevölkerung genauso wie die im Dezember 2009 anstehende Weltklimakonferenz in Kopenhagen. Auch innerhalb der Europäischen Union (EU) nimmt die Energie- und Klimapolitik eine gewichtige Rolle ein, denn nicht zuletzt beinhaltet 'die Europäische Einigung [.] von Beginn an auch die Idee einer Energiegemeinschaft' (Geden/Fischer 2008: 23). Allerdings handelt es sich bei der europäischen Energiepolitik um ein schwer fassbares Politikfeld. So fordern die Bürger der EU eine sichere, billige und umweltfreundliche Energieversorgung. Herunter brechen lässt sich diese komplexe Interessenslage hierbei auf drei zentrale Ziele der Europäischen Energiepolitik (auch bekannt als das energiepolitische Zieldreieck): Versorgungssicherheit, Umweltverträglichkeit und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Die Metapher des Dreiecks soll in diesem Fall verdeutlichen, dass die Ziele sich bedingen, mitunter aber auch in Konkurrenz treten. Bei genauerer Betrachtung dieses Zieldreiecks stellt sich jedoch die Frage, ob die EU allen drei Zielen dieselbe Aufmerksamkeit zukommen lässt. Daher steht im Zentrum dieser Arbeit folgende Fragestellung: Lassen sich unterschiedliche Erfolge bzw. unterschiedlich weitreichende Integrationsschritte bezüglich des energiepolitischen Zieldreiecks der EU ausmachen und wenn ja: Wie lässt sich dieser Befund erklären Im Verlauf dieser Arbeit wird daher herausgearbeitet werden, dass es eine wahrnehmbare Verlagerung zugunsten der Umweltverträglichkeit gibt. Dieser Befund soll aus integrationstheoretischer Perspektive betrachtet und erklärt werden - genauer aus Sicht des Liberalen Intergouvernementalismus nach Moravcsik. In einem ersten Schritt wird jedoch zunächst ein Grundwissen über die Energiepolitik der EU erarbeitet werden. Hierzu werden vorab jeweils der Inhalt der Verfassungsbeschwerde und deren mögliche Hintergründe beleuchtet. Ob dieser überhaupt christlich gewesen ist, und wenn ja in welcher Ausprägung, lassen wir zunächst offen. Getauft jedenfalls war der Herrscher zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht. Seine spätere 'Taufe auf dem Sterbebett' im Jahre 337 ist, abgesehen von der fragwürdigen Zuverlässigkeit der überlieferten Texte, ebenfalls kein Hinweis auf ausgeprägte Christlichkeit. Denn Konstantin wird, wenn überhaupt, arianisch, alsohäretisch getauft. Ein Umstand, der in den meisten Konstantin-Biographen verschwiegen wird.Ein römischer Kaiser zweifelhafter Religiösität leitet also das erste ökumenische Konzil der Christen, bei dem die rätselhafte Formel von der Wesensgleichheit gefunden und dogmatisiert wird. Die Theologen meinen, Konstantin habe den Bischöfen freie Hand gelassen. Aber den Vorsitz zu führen und zu schweigen, das ist nicht Art der römischen Kaiser, die sich selbst 'Herr und Gott' nennen. Each writer faced with the realities of myriads of African misery: Colonialism, slavery, neo - colonialism, civil and religious wars, cannot afford the luxury of l'Art pour l'Art. Ahmadou Kourouma has to use the French language to mobilize his people for a way forward. He needed to bear a genuine testimony to the situation of his people, but he could not achieve this mobilization of his uneducated people adequately faced with the dilemma of using a foreign language.

In diesen Worten spiegelt sich sowohl ein Gefühl der Perspektivlosigkeit wider, als auch eine Reflexionsfähigkeit, die Jugendlichen irrtümlicherweise zumeist abgesprochen wird. Ich beginne die vorliegende Arbeit mit diesem Zitat, da es meiner Ansicht nach im übertragenen Sinne substanziellen Wert speziell für die Fragestellung dieser Arbeit besitzt, jedoch auch allgemein der Zukunftsforschung eine kraftvolle Existenzberechtigung zuschreibt. Denn sich Gedanken über die Zukunft zu machen gehört in der heutigen, beschleunigten Welt zu einer lebenserhaltenden Grundfähigkeit. Dies gilt zum einen für das einzelne Individuum und zum anderen für kleine und große ¿ bis hin zu globalen Gemeinschaften. Wenn wir beispielsweise von Ressourcenorientierung sprechen, dann sind damit einerseits zwar die Erhaltung und Wahrung der Natur- und Umweltressourcen, aber andererseits auch die individuellen Kraftquellen (körperlicher, emotionaler oder intellektueller Art) jedes einzelnen Menschen gemeint.Nun gehört zu einer selbstreflexiven Herangehensweise selbstverständlich auch eine prognostische Sicht auf mögliche existenzielle zukünftige Themen. Und hierbei kann bzw. darf und sollte sich sowohl das Individuum als auch eine Gemeinschaft Einzelner genauso wenig herausnehmen wie die einzelnen Wissenschaftsbereiche. Um eine nachhaltige und fruchtbare Existenz zu gewährleisten, muss sich die Zukunftsforschung ihrer eigenen vergangenen, gegenwärtigen und zukünftigen Identität stets bewusst sein und werden.Anhand dieser Grundgedanken habe ich mich in der vorliegenden Arbeit mit dem Thema ¿Zukunftsforschung der Zukunft ¿ Welche Themen werden für die Zukunftsforschung im Jahre 2060 von besonderem Interesse sein ¿ auseinandergesetzt.

Das Thema dieser Diplomarbeit ist daher Nichtwissen und unbekanntes Nichtwissen als eine Ausprägung systemischen Nichtwissens. Ausgehend von den beobachtbaren Erschütterungen in der Welt, wird im theoretischen Teil, die allgemeine Präferenz von Wissen kritisch beleuchtet, um die praktischen Konsequenzen dieser bevorzugten Perspektive darzulegen. Ziel der Arbeit ist die Gestaltung eines Reflexi- onswerkzeugs für Entscheidungsprozesse in Unternehmen. Es sollte dynamisch, vital und offen sein, dadurch intuitives, phantasievolles, ideenreiches Handeln erzeugen und zur geistigen Freiheit anregen. Die beabsichtigte Erweiterung des Vorstellungshorizonts dient dem Erkennen von Überraschungen, damit mögliche Schockwirkungen unerwarteter Ereig- nisse milder ausfallen. Bestimmte Tätowierungen galten und gelten noch immer, als Zeichen des 'Nicht-Aufgebens', des 'Nicht-Besiegt' oder des 'Nicht-gebrochen-werdens'. Sie gelten somit als Beweis eines freien Geistes in einem gefangenen Körper.Bei Tätowierungen von Strafgefangen ist zwischen freiwilligen und Zwangstätowierungen zu unterscheiden. Wobei die Zwangstätowierungen historisch einerseits von der Justiz als Markierung gefertigt wurden aber andererseits auch von Mitgefangen bis heute als Kennzeichnung durchgeführt werden.[.].

In contrast, human consciousness being a part of cognition (Harnad, 1994) seems to be beyond any scientific explanation. This essay will critically discuss the extent to which consciousness poses a problem for the CTM - regarding issues surrounding consciousness as an area of scientific study, the extent to which consciousness is explicable in computational terms, explanations of consciousness, and Dennett's (1991) different account to consciousness. It will be argued that consciousness does pose a major problem for the CTM, especially when it is conceptualised as subjective experience. At the time Irish national laws made the right of residence for third-country family members contingent on prior legal residence in another EU Member State, and the applicants' requests were ultimately denied since the requirement was not met. The four couples subsequently lodged an appeal, arguing that the laws were incompatible with Directive 2004/38 and that the decision represented a breach of EU freedom of movement law. In its judgment, the ECJ ruled that the Directive is in fact not conditional on the prior legal residence of third-country family members, and it went even further in stating that it was irrelevant 'when and where their marriage took place and [.] how the national of a non-member country entered the host Member State.' The central importance of Metock is thus twofold: first, the ECJ's ruling establishes that EU laws preclude stricter immigration standards applied on a national level and, second, the Court further extends the rights of third-country family members.Part I of this paper contextualises the Metock ruling by examining the legal evolution of the ECJ case law within the area of third-country family members' freedom of movement rights. It identifies and analyses the evident trend of the Court significantly extending the rights granted to non-EU family members. Two key manifestations of this central trend will be investigated and exemplified, namely how the Court grants more extensive rights to non-EU family members by means of interpreting Community law expansively and, second, the Court's move away from economic reasoning towards fundamental rights-based legal rationale. Part II critically assesses the seminal Metock ruling and analyses both its real and potential implications. There is a remarkable similarity of techniques implied in Eliot's poem and used by modern portrait artists such as different media of expression, technique of deconstruc-tion, incomprehensible image and flatness. The poem represents a dual portrait of an elderly lady and her friend, the young narrator. Both figures are characterised by their dramatic monologues from different perspectives. A great deal of the impressive effect of the poem is achieved through dramatic verse that exactly express the tones of the lady's speech. The free verse and effects of rhythm help to provide this impression. The technique of disembodiment and fragmentation used by Eliot shows certain similarities to cubist portrait artists who broke the portrayed subject up and re-assembled it in a new form. Furthermore, 'Portrait of a Lady' provides a shifting succession of thoughts, consciousness, protean in its variety of music and tone and depicts the figures' internal drama without creating a comprehensible image of their appearance. In addition, the lady imitates in her speech Arnold and expresses her feelings through quotations and, therefore, is mentally absent, though she eliminates the narrator's consciousness of himself as facing her. However, the observer registers the look of absorption which dominates the imaginary face of the lady. This effect of flatness is directly connected with modern portrait painters such as Édouard Manet.Therefore, it can be concluded that Eliot's 'Portrait of a Lady' is a notable example of the modern portrait in poetry. 24 pp. Englisch.

Despite the flow of billions of dollors in African economies, they are more dependent today than ever before. She claims that Aid made Africans lazy. They see it as a regular income and do not try to build their nation themselves. This has a huge impact in the future of Africa. She believes that the donor countries should stop the flow of aid, as it never reaches the ones who really need it. Other prominent development aid experts however doubt this argument because this could mean millions of deaths in short term. However, we can conclude that the way how development aid functions today could be organized in a better way so that it will be more effective. The role of transnational agencies like the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) should be reformed. The pre-conditions for short term and long term loans should not be made dependent on market liberalisation or opening the third world markets. Rwanda, a country that experienced the horrors of one of the most terrible genocide in human history, when the Hutu Militants killed almost one million Tutsis within few months, is one of the most stable countries in Africa today. Its economy is booming, it has an excellent security system. Rwanda did not get Aid from third countries for years. It fought itself to come out of the nightmares of Genocide and built a stable economy, without aid. Today, Africans learn from Rwanda. They have understood that life is possible without aid and the first step to that is being independent from any foreign assistence. Rwanda presented itself as a role model in Africa that some development aid experts started to believe that aid should be given but there should be a time frame. The Marshall Plan in Western Europe had a time frame, after few years, aid flow stopped and the Europeans had to pay back the money. Same model would be plausible for Africa and all the receivers of development aid. They should know that aid is not for always, it is just a help to selfhelp. 20 pp. Englisch.

Interestingly, both were developing toward isolation. The United States because of movements of isolationists, and Germany was isolating itself through its aggressive foreign policy. The agricultural sector in Zambia makes up 20 percent of the country's GDP, employs 67 percent of Zambia's total labor force and is the main source of livelihood for poor people in Zambia (Dixon et. al. 2001). The agricultural contribution to the GDP is mainly attributed by rural small-scale farmers who make up 90 percent of all Zambian farmers and own nearly about two thirds of the agricultural land (OECD 2009). More than 70 percent of the entire agricultural area planted is under maize. Since agriculture contributes to the GDP to such a great extend and maize is by far the greatest crop planted, the performance of the maize sector is a very decisive indicator of how well Zambia is economically doing. Further, poverty is mainly existent in rural areas and as rural small-scale farmers make up almost the entire output of maize, maize is thus also an important indicator of rural poverty. The maize sector is at the same time the most deregulated sector in Zambia with a deregulation percentage of greater than 80 percent. Maize policies affect a large percentage of the population and policies can and are used to provide the government with strategic advantages for self-interest independent of whether such policies have a positive impact on the in highly poverty living rural population. This research paper will first examine in section two how maize became such a powerful crop by looking back into Zambian history. Section three will explain the deregulation policies that are currently in place in detail before section four will give an outlook into the future where the maize sector is heading to, accompanied with suggestion in how the maize sector must change in order to contribute to poverty reduction on a sustainable base.
