Neuware -Essay from the year 2007 in the subject Politics - Topic: International Organisations, grade: 1,7, LMU Munich (Geschwister Scholl Institut für politische Wissenschaft), course: Seminar: Introduction into Terrorism Research, language: English, abstract: Speaking about terrorism in a scientific way, it is inevitable to take into account the relationship between media and terrorism. As this essay wants to outline the main characteristics of how and why the transnational terror network Al Qaeda is designing its public appearance, a brief introduction into the general discussion on terrorism and the media is given in the following. The relationship between these two actors is often described as symbiotic or even one of ¿considerable mutual benefit.¿ On the one hand the mass media can profit from the coverage of terrorist attacks because they can increase their circulation or viewing figures. On the other hand, terrorists achieve the wanted attention, convey the propaganda of the deed and inflict great fear on their target group(s). If successful, they can even mobilize wider support and influence political decisions of their enemies, in the way that they contribute to the desired escalation-spiral. This connection probably led former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher to the famous words ¿oxygen of publicity¿: A comparison, which illustrates the absolute need for terrorists to be covered in the media; for them it is as important as the air they breathe. Some theorists are sharing the opinion, that terrorism only becomes what it is through the media coverage: ¿Without the media aspect, terrorism remains one more cause of death, one of many, and not necessarily the most important or most dangerous one.¿ But despite the recognition of the so-called amplification effect, censorship is neither desirable nor realizable in open western societies. So it is often said, that we are here caught in a dilemma and the only thing, media can do is to weigh carefully, which incidents to show and to what extent. Furthermore they should regard it as their self-evident duty to foster the awareness of civilians and to provide a forum for reasonable discussion. This essay shall portray one of the most prominent and surely most actual terrorist groups: Al Qaeda. It will give an overview about its media strategies, but as well will not forget the propaganda management, which tries to efficiently recruit new members and foster support for the group. At first, there will be given a brief oversight and explanation of the ¿metamorphosis of war¿, a central condition for Al Qaedäs engagement in propaganda, and how the terrorist group correlates with it.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 24 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2007 in the subject English Language and Literature Studies - Literature, grade: 1, University of Göttingen (Englisches Seminar), course: Gender and Intertextuality in Contemporary Retellings of Fairy Tales, language: English, abstract: The British female author A.S Byatt has always been fascinated by fairy stories, ¿from years of reading myths and fairytales under the bedclothes, from the delights and freedoms and terrors of worlds and creatures that never existed.¿ In 1994, she published her own collection of fairy tales, titled ¿The Djinn in the Nightingale¿s Eye¿. Four of the five tales are quite short and told in a narrative style typical for the genre, whereas the title story, which merges realism and fantasy, is of the length of a novella. The first two stories of the collection, ¿The Glass Coffin¿ and ¿Gode¿s Story¿, were originally published in Byatt¿s successful novel ¿Possession¿ and are reprinted verbatim in combination with three new stories in ¿The Djinn in the Nightingale¿s Eye¿.Byatt¿s work is remarkably intertextual, ¿The Djinn in the Nightingale¿s Eye¿ seems virtually to be a rich collage of fairy tale motifs. While the title story brims over with references to narratives of Oriental origin, as the Tales from Arabian Nights, the epics of Gilgamesh or the ancient myth of Cybele, and the works of Shakespeare and Chaucer, ¿The Glass Coffin¿ and ¿The Story of the Eldest Princess¿ are based on many themes and elements alluding to the traditional European fairy tales collected by Charles Perrault and the Brothers Grimm. Byatt herself mentions that ¿I read through the whole collection (in German) and made a kind of patchwork or jigsaw Tale out of all the motifs that most moved and excited me [¿].¿ This essay wants to examine how Byatt uses and transforms these familiar motifs, plots and characters from the ¿old stories¿ in order to give her heroines more power over her own life in her new stories.[.]Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 20 pp. Englisch.

The first part examines the protagonist of An Encounter, how he differs from his friends and his being contemptuous of them. His realisation that he cannot despise them because he might be dependent on them is the conclusion of the 'encounter with strangeness and fascination'. The second part examines the protagonist of Araby and his existence as a puppet led by Mangan's sister. Both parts end with a short digression into symbolic colours. The last part ¿ the vicious circle ¿ compares both stories in terms of being on the edge of adolescence and ends with the foreshadowing of the boys becoming paralysed adults.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 20 pp. Englisch.

After describing the current provisions concerning contingency fees in Australia and Germany, both the Australian and the German approaches will be critically examined concerning the preconditions of conditional cost agreements. The author concludes with the following findings: Sufficient information for the client is one of the most important elements when entering into a conditional cost agreement. The legislators in both countries have set up a good basis by implementing the requirements of written form and client information. The comparative look shows that the exclusion of criminal law and family law matters is unnecessary from a legal perspective and should lead to an amendment of the actual prohibition clauses in the Australian acts. Finally, it must be strongly recommended that Germany should follow the Australian example and implement a ¿cooling-off period¿ to address the client¿s need for both sufficient information and effective action.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 32 pp. Englisch.

This paper will assess the development dimension of the negotiations focussing on the extent to which this offers developing countries policy space and flexibilities to pursue developmental objectives. The WTO advocated the implementation of special and differential (S&D) treatment in order to assist with the plight of developing countries. This paper acknowledges the importance of S&D treatment, but argues that it is not sufficient as a solitary approach to development. In an adaptation of Amartya Sen¿s conceptualisation of development as the process of expanding human freedoms; Faizel Ismail highlights four elements of the development dimension of the multilateral trading system, namely: fair trade, capacity building, balanced rules, and good governance. The paper will begin with a brief overview of the evolution of the trading system itself, from GATT to the WTO. Thereafter it will look at the Relationship between development and trade, focussing particularly on NAMA and S&D treatment. Following this will be a brief analysis of the effect of WTO negotiations on developing countries; ending off with a look at how the WTO can be restructured to accommodate the interests of developing countries.[.]Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 24 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2009 in the subject Politics - International Politics - Topic: Peace and Conflict Studies, Security, grade: A+, Technological University of the Philippines (International Studies), course: for college papers, language: English, abstract: Caveat: The title above is quite absurd due to the fact that in the traditional sense of defining security, any country aspiring for weapons of mass destruction or WMDs, which obviously nuclear used for developing weapons, is part and parcel of that nexus and is apparently a security issue; in other words it doesn¿t need the securitization process. It absolutely manifests the core concepts of traditional security which is akin to military, war, or what we should say high politics of hard power prior to the Cold War period. However, my conception of the above statement is merely a Western thought, though majority in the academia that specializes in international security accept that premise. One would ask if we can actually securitize a security issue. The answer is definitely no, because in the first place, it has been securitized and an extraordinary response was made to normalize the matter. The nuclear energy issue of Iran is a different case because it was foreseen as an unprecedented security matter by Israel and the United States in which Iran hasn¿t developed a culpable force of nuclear enrichment particularly uranium that would be used for military defence or political weapons as how the West reiterated this contention. The thin difference in securitizing Iran¿s nuclear energy ambition is looking at a causational link that made Iran decided to produce its own nuclear energy enrichment, which scholars have been debating on the intent and purpose of Iran.[.]Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 24 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2008 in the subject Cultural Studies - Miscellaneous, grade: B , Aalborg University (Humanities), course: Communication, Identity and Globalization, language: English, abstract: In recent years, reports on cultural conflicts have been a regular part of the daily news. The press and media coverage varies from big news stories, such as the so-called War on Terror or the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, to more domestic incidents such as racially motivated crimes in various European countries. Some scholars, such as Samuel P. Huntington, hold deeply ingrained cultural differences responsible for those conflicts. With the rise of global phenomena (i.e. demographic shifts, asylum seekers, emigration throughout Europe) ethno-nationalism and nationalism are also on the rise. Taking a closer look at Britain, being a former colonial power and a nation characterized by a high immigrant population, exemplifies the different attitudes towards multiculturalism across society. By promoting a sense of ¿Britishness¿, extreme right-wing parties such as the British National Party (BNP) try to secure the cultural dimensions of what it means to be British. This not only affects nations, but most of all communities within nations, specifically minority groups. In contrast to the very concept of multiculturalism, forces are gathering within nations to go back to their roots. With the fall of the Soviet Union, much of the world¿s attention has been placed on the Islamic world. This attention primarily focuses on the last remainders of highly differential cultural context of Muslim nations. Therefore, hyperglobalists such as Ohmae and Reich argue that globalization melts away cultural dissonances and brings the Muslim world into the West. However, the arrival of Islam into Western nations, such as France, England or Germany, often causes a serious identity crisis among natives and immigrants. Members of both sides want to preserve their heritage by assimilating the other side. As a result, this ¿clash of civilizations¿, results in both sides breeding fundamentalist wings within their culture to preserve their own identity. Incidents such as the London and Madrid bombings or the race riots of 2001 in England are just a few examples. Having those recent conflicts and developments in mind, several questions arise: In how far has a clash of civilizations occurred on a domestic level (i.e. England) and ¿ if so ¿ can those conflicts be ascribed to differing cultural factors BoD - Books on Demand, In de Tarpen 42, 22848 Norderstedt 28 pp. Englisch.

Kennedy-Institut für Nordamerikastudien), course: The Literature of the Sixties, language: English, abstract: This paper will go into certain aspects of feminist criticisms of Ursula K. Le Guin¿s 1969 science fiction novel ¿The Left Hand of Darkness¿, discuss their justification question, and further examine the consistency of Le Guin¿s description of the genderless society of Gethen. The Left Hand of Darkness tells the story of Genly Ai, an envoy from Earth (¿Terrä), sent by the ¿Ekumen¿, a union of inhabited planets, to planet Gethen in order to convince the planet¿s inhabitants to join an interstellar alliance. Throughout the novel Le Guin explores Genly Ai¿s difficulties to understand and become part of society on Gethen, which are mainly due to the fact that all the inhabitants are ambisexual; they only take on a biological gender once a month, in a short period of sexual activity. Each individual has the capacity to become either a man or a woman, and their sex can differ from one month to the other. The Left Hand of Darkness has played an essential role in the history of science fiction. Since Science Fiction was a largely male dominated field of literature in the 1960s, both in its authors and its protagonists, Le Guin¿s novel was pathbreaking in many ways. It has attracted a lot of attention for its unusual focus on social science and human relationships as opposed to natural science and technology and for its attempt to show a society of complete equals. However, Le Guins thought-experiment about a genderless or gender-ambiguous society has frequently been subject to harsh criticism by feminist critics, who hold that she has not succeeded to create a credible picture of this society. They claim the gender situation throughout the book to be inconsistent. According to these critics, instead of depicting a society without any gender roles, Le Guin describes a purely male world, and fails to make the reader see the Gethenians as women as well as men. This paper discusses the validity of these criticisms.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 24 pp. Englisch.

Lily B. Campbell labels Othello ¿A Tragedy of Jealousy¿.9 Certainly, for most recipients, Othello is about jealousy and, thus, ¿shocking, even horrible¿.10 Harold Bloom announces that Othellös ¿name in effect becomes jealousy¿ (Fernie 19). Critics characterise Othello as not smoothly jealous, inherently jealous, and too eagerly beguiled 1 For so that he becomes fervently resentful (cf. Davison 13). While Davison regards jealousy as a calamitous vigour in Othello, Mason grants the mastery of maleficence.11 I will verify my thesis that the envious Iago causes Othellös jealousy which culminates in frantic reprisal. Hence, I retain that Iagös malice and fake honesty annihilate Othellös bond. To fathom the tragedy of Othello, it is indispensable to specify the cognitive theory of jealousy and envy which eventuates from psychology¿s interest in anthropoid liaisons, and is primordial and reiterative in literature. Tales of cruel jealousy appealed to Elizabethans on account of the notion that women are impious and that the husband¿s reputation is contingent on his wife¿s celibacy. Shakespeare¿s interest in jealousy stems from Elizabeth Cary¿s (c. 1585-1639) closet drama Mariam (1603/1613). Traditionally, jealousy supervenes in comedy and is linked to sexual possessiveness.12 The theory of humours13 defines jealousy as ¿a species of envy, which is in turn a species of hatred¿ (Honigmann 33). Although jealousy has come to be used frequently for envy, both terms should be separated. While jealousy connotes what you own and do not fancy to be deprived of, envy is what you would like to retain but do not have. Spinoza specifies jealousy as ¿the hatred towards an object loved [¿] with the envy of another¿.14 In 2.1., I will discuss Othello as domestic and revenge tragedy. For Stanley Wells explains that Shakespeare fosters ¿the emotional response of his audiences¿,15 in 2.2., I will convey Othellös origin within Elizabethan theatre. In 3.1. and 3.2., I will scrutinize Iagös vice tradition and motivation. This is vital for the temptation scene which I will analyse, in 3.3. For ¿the study and the stage¿ are ¿often separate¿ (Matteo 1), I will include the stage. In 4., I will reflect my results.BoD - Books on Demand, In de Tarpen 42, 22848 Norderstedt 28 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2006 in the subject American Studies - Literature, grade: 1,0, Humboldt-University of Berlin (Department of English and American Studies), course: The Flaneur and the Visual Culture of the City, language: English, abstract: ¿To stroll is a science, it is the gastronomy of the eye. To walk is to vegetate, to stroll is to live.¿ (Balzac, 'Physiologie du Mariage')'City of Glass' is Paul Auster¿s first novel, published in 1985, after being rejected by several publishers. The first part of 'The New York Trilogy' has been translated into 17 languages so far, a fact that pleads for the novel¿s commercial success nowadays. An indication for the literary importance of 'City of Glass' is the continually growing number of essays, anthologies and monographs all over the world. It is undeniable that its selling success is related to the general fascination for the cosmopolitan city of New York and for detective stories, as ¿ at first sight ¿ Auster¿s novel follows the tradition of Edgar Allan Poe. However, he follows the tradition ¿as creator of ¿the lost ones¿¿, as ¿ on closer inspection ¿ the reader has to realize that the real mystery is one of confused character identities and realities. 'City of Glass' does not meet the reader¿s expectations about a typical New York ¿city novel¿: Auster created an adequate text for a modified, postmodern cityscape where all objects of the city seem like linguistic codes that need to be deciphered. The risks of the city result from the confusion of language and perception. The fear of an identity collapse comes along with the apparent collapse of the cityscape. Auster picks out the loss of stability and security in the city as central theme. He describes a world begging for order and interpretation where ¿nothing is real except chance¿. (.)Auster's character Quinn is a deconstructed character of postmodernism, he acts like a 'flâneur', but does not feel comfortable while walking through the city, he seems lost. New York is the ¿nowhere¿ Quinn has built around himself. Professor Stillman also seems to stroll like a 'flâneur', but he has to fulfill an operation (in contrast to the ¿classical¿ 'flâneur' who has no aim). Auster deconstructs the postmodern figure of the flâneur as he deconstructs the classical detective novel. Ironically, these very deconstructions help to shape the novel. Quinn can be read as flâneur adapted to a postmodern world, I argue. In the following, I will explore the relations between Auster¿s 'City of Glass' and concepts of 'flânerie', strolling urban observing. In order to discuss 'flânerie' in Auster¿s work, it is essential to take a closer look on the term first. (.)Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 32 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2007 in the subject Politics - Political Theory and the History of Ideas Journal, grade: A, Stellenbosch Universitiy, course: Comparative Political Economy, language: English, abstract: The primary aim of this paper is to provide a detailed analysis of the manner in which important current trends will shape the future of the division of labour and the world system as a whole. The implications of the major political (loss of sovereignty), technological, cultural (globalisation vs. identity), environmental (population growth) and economic trends that the current generation faces will be considered; thereafter looking at its impact on the global division of labour. This will be followed by a thorough analysis of what the nature and structure of the world system will look like in 2025. The paper will end off with a prediction of what the balance of power in the system will be around this time, looking at several candidates for possible hegemony. The argument posed in this essay is that the world system is undergoing a transitional phase, whereby the system could potentially collapse and be replaced by another one, although this is not likely to occur as early as 2025. The other argument is that the ushering in of a new hegemon is a lengthy process, one that will probably not have taken root by this time; thus 2025 will almost certainly be characterized by a multipolar system.

Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2008 in the subject Business economics - Banking, Stock Exchanges, Insurance, Accounting, grade: 1,0 (A), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (Department of Economics), course: Applied Econometrics, language: English, abstract: In this paper the Box- Jenkins forecasting technique should be applied to the stock price of the ThyssenKrupp AG. ThyssenKrupp arose from the merger of the ¿Thyssen AG¿and the ¿Friedrich Krupp AG Hoesch-Krupp¿ in 1999. The main focus of the trust lies on steel, industrial goods and services with its five sections Stainless, Steel, Technologies, Elevator and Services. With 191,350 employees in over 70 countries and a turnover of 51.7 billion Euro p.a., ThyssenKrupp is one of the largest industry and technology groups in the world. At the same time it is Germany¿s biggest steel and armaments manufacturer. I chose the stock price of the ThyssenKrupp trust for several reasons. First, it is a blue chip listed on the stock exchange since 1999 allowing me easy access to a sufficient and reliableamount of data. Second, I have no reason to believe that this trust underlies any influence of seasonality since it has so many different segments that contribute to its economicperformance. Third, since the steel demand and thus prices are steadily increasing in the last years it is not surprising that the stock price of the ThyssenKrupp AG does this too (seefigure 2 further down) giving me a reason to question financial market theories. In particular, financial investors and researches are very often interested to predict futurevalues of stock prices. On the one hand they do so, to gain profits from investing in stocks from buying at a low price and selling at a higher price and on the other hand to verify iffinancial markets work efficiently. For the latter reason, financial research for a long time believed stock prices to follow a random walk and thus that prices of the stock marketcannot be predicted2. This implies that financial markets are at least weak form efficient and excess returns cannot be earned by using investment strategies based on historical shareprices, i.e. time- series analyses can not be used to predict future values of stock prices. In this paper I will try to find out if the stock price of the ThyssenKrupp AG follows a random walk or not using the Box-Jenkins forecasting approach. For my analysis I use the weekly opening stock price starting at 01/01/2003 and ending at 04/21/08 and thus I have 278 observations. To analyze the data I use the software STATA (version 9.1.).BoD - Books on Demand, In de Tarpen 42, 22848 Norderstedt 32 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Essay from the year 2007 in the subject Business economics - Offline Marketing and Online Marketing, grade: 5 (excellent), University of Pécs (International PhD Program), course: Marketing I, language: English, abstract: Johnston and Clark (2001, p.3) point out, that everybody is everyday coming several times into contact with service operations. Following Bruhn (1993, p. 781), highly developed economies can be characterised by an over proportional and strong growth of the service sec-tor. Evidence to this statement can be given evidence looking at the statistics in different countries. For example: In 2005, 72% of all employees in the Federal Republic of Germany had been employed in the service sector, representing an increase of 13%-points compared to 1991 (Statistisches Bundesamt, 2007, p. 291).The before mentioned development, as well as the dynamic of service sector in itself, has lead to an increasing interest in the special problems of service marketing (Rust and Chung, 2006, pp.560-561). The present essay will explore particularities regarding the marketing mix in service operations. Therefore, first of all the most important terms such as service, service marketing and marketing instruments will be defined. In the following, the 7P¿s of the mar-keting mix for service operations under consideration of the characteristics of services will be examined. Finally, the most important findings and interactions will be summarised and con-clusions will be derived.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 24 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2002 in the subject Business economics - Business Management, Corporate Governance, grade: A/B, University of Linz (International Management), course: International Management, language: English, abstract: In the globalising world where multinational organisations work across borders the question of cultural differences and mutual understanding seems to be highly relevant and has been discussed by many researches in the last decades. National culture can be viewed as the norms, values and beliefs shared by individuals from a particular nation that distinguish it from other nations (Nový I., Schroll-Machl S. et al. (2001): Interkulturální komunikace v rízení a podnikání). Our cultural environment is natural for us but people from other cultures may not be comfortable with it or may not understand. The behaviors that are consistent with the norms of one culture may violate the norms of another like for example: the time that the German account executive expects the Mexican manager to arrive at their 12:30 lunch appointment is 12:30. When the Mexican manager agreed on 12:30, he didn¿t know that she would be annoyed by him not arriving or calling before 1:00 (tbs-intranet.tees.ac.uk/international/ccd/ccd_block2.htm ,19. 6. 2002).Therefore when we talk about differences between cultures, then we are speaking in generalities. Therefore we should be aware of expectations that every idividual will behave in a manner consistent with those generalizations, because even within cultures, people differ from each other. Why do we study national culture anyway The study of human behavior and the practice of leadership and management continually require the use of generalizations. It is still worth to search for models that predict human behavior, even if those predictions can¿t always be accurate. Some of the most popular models are Hofstede¿s Theory and the model of Trompenaars.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 36 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Master's Thesis from the year 2008 in the subject Business economics - Economic Policy, grade: 1,0 (A), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (Department of Economics), course: Labor Economics II, language: English, abstract: One of the most important issues that was in the center of the political debate in Germany in the last few months is the introduction of minimum wages. It was caused by the politically forced imposition of a minimum wage in the sector for postal services which, in the view of many experts, provides acompetitive advantage for the major postal service company ¿Deutsche Post World Net¿1 compared to its competitors. Then it happened that the ¿PIN ¿ Group AG¿ one of the most important domestic competitors of the ¿Deutsche Post World Net¿ was threatened by insolvency as its largest shareholder thepublisher ¿Axel Springer AG¿ was no longer willing to invest money in the ¿PIN - Group AG¿. Additionally, many newspapers published by Axel Springer AG wrote articles against the imposition of a minimum wage for many weeks and published many interviews with economic experts warning about thenegative effects of a minimum wage on the overall German labor market. Furthermore, political considerations, e.g. by the secretary of labor, to introduce a federal minimum wage in Germany even caused the chairmen of the eight leading economic research institutes in Germany to publish a letter in thenewspaper ¿Das Handelsblatt¿2 where they advise politicians against the introduction of a federal minimum wage if (large) employment losses should be avoided. On the other hand, a few other researchers, experts and politicians like the ¿IAB¿3 as a specific labor market research institute believethat minimum wages even could create jobs and must not necessarily destroy them. This paper is motivated by this ongoing debate between economists and policymakers in the whole world. That is why in the first part of the paper the major theoretical framework which is used by economists to analyze and empirically assess the impacts of minimum wages on employment should be presented.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 40 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Seminar paper from the year 2008 in the subject Business economics - Business Management, Corporate Governance, grade: 5 (excellent), University of Pécs (International PhD Program), course: Management I, language: English, abstract: Nearly all managers seek to improve the bottom line of their business in different ways. After off shoring of production facilities and outsourcing of processes, the Shared Services approach has heavily been discussed in previous years. With regard to Bergeron, the Shared Service business model can be defined as follows: ¿Shared Services is a collaborative strategy in which a subsets of existing business functions is concentrated into a new, semi-autonomous business unit that has a management structure designed to promote efficiency, value generation, cost savings, and improved service for internal customer of the parent corporation, like a business competing in the open market.¿ Following Wißkirchen, organisations try to achieve in general the following objectives via the implementation of Shared Services: Cost reduction due to economies of scale and scope, based on the standardisation and accumulation of internal processes in one unit The parent company can concentrate on the core of the business Creation, expansion and maintaining of process know-how Services are charged by transfer prices and are put into competition to external service providers So-called service level agreements exactly define what the parent company can expect. Hence, by implementing Shared Services, the back office functions, such as finance, accounting, controlling, human resources, regulatory affairs, etc. are becoming a strategic driver. The present assignment proposes a change management strategy, in order to overcome resistance to change, implement a new system and take the organisation back to equilibrium by referring to some of the basic models of management. Where appropriate, change management tools are recommended which might be used in order to make the right decisions at the right time.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 36 pp. Englisch.

Neuware -Scientific Essay from the year 2008 in the subject Law - Comparative Legal Systems, Comparative Law, grade: High Distinction, The University of Adelaide, language: English, abstract: Plea bargaining has been and still is an important issue in Australia and Europe. Interestingly, in Australia only a few articles focus on the phenomenon plea bargaining. This cannot properly address the importance of plea bargaining in the criminal procedure and the whole judicial administration system. In Germany plea bargaining is intensively discussed after the German Federal Constitutional Court and the German Supreme Court made first attempts to regulate and implement the phenomenon in the existing criminal procedure. This essay will discuss selected issues concerning plea bargaining in order to describe its nature in the criminal justice system. After presenting the preconditions for plea bargaining in Australia and Germany both systems are critically reviewed by focussing on particular issues being important from a comparative point of view.BoD - Books on Demand, In de Tarpen 42, 22848 Norderstedt 60 pp. Englisch.

44 pp. Deutsch.

Theologie / Religionspädagogik), Veranstaltung: Last minute.
