Original bright red paper-covered box with silver lettering on cover, with red lever and elastic string lock, housed in original tailored plastic bag with sticker 34/250. Produced in association with the Florence Loewy bookstore in Paris. Thought provoking set of forty postcard-size photographs depicting mostly barren city environments affected by the play of light. Harvey Benge (1944-2019) was a New Zealand photographer who lived in Auckland and Paris. He exhibited mostly in European galleries. One of his known statements is ".the most successful photography raises questions." Plastic bag somewhat crumbled, else in fine condition.
