The purpose of a colonoscopy is to provide a visual diagnosis via inspection of the internal lining of the colon wall, which may include identifying issues such as ulceration or precancerous polyps, and to enable the opportunity to remove and biopsy polyps and small colorectal cancer lesions. Routine use of colonoscopy screening varies globally. It is a commonly recommended and widely utilized screening method for colorectal cancer, often beginning at age 45 or 50 years, depending on risk factors and national guidelines. Conditions that call for colonoscopies include unexplained changes in bowel habits and suspicion of malignancy. Colonoscopies are often used to diagnose colonic polyps and colon cancer but are also frequently used to diagnose inflammatory bowel disease. A positive fecal occult blood test is almost always an indication to do a colonoscopy. In most cases, the positive result is just due to hemorrhoids. A positive result can also be due to diverticulosis, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis), colon cancer, or polyps. Colonic polypectomy has become a routine part of colonoscopy, allowing quick and simple removal of polyps during the procedure without invasive surgery. It is important to note that occasional rectal bleeding may have multiple non-serious potential causes. In the last decades a great variety of technical improvements has arrived, such as the use of different dyes for better identification of small lesions and the introduction of artificial intelligence. Prefabrication is a means to mass-produce buildings or parts and components. Thus, in theory, production costs can be reduced through economies of scale. In the 1920s, the significance of mass-produced houses was widely propagated by Le Corbusier who saw standardization as fundamental to mass production. Nonetheless, today, in response to growing global warming issues and the constant increase in energy prices, the construction industry is becoming more responsive to the delivery of sustainable architecture than ever. Within this context, sustainability may embrace not only building economy but also the adequacy beyond the legitimacy in which the quality barely coincides with individuals¿ various dynamic needs, desires, and expectations today. In this respect, mass-produced prefabs alone fail to realize total sustainability. In 1987, a paradoxical concept of mass customization was introduced by Stanley Davis. Nonetheless, the idea applied to housing dates back to the 1950s. The essence of mass customizable architecture was speculated by Walter Gropius, as he emphasized the need for standardizing and mass-producing not only entire buildings but also their components. The combination of standard building components, which can be prefabricated, results in mass producing various types of constructions through economies of scope, where the quality can be defined by user choices of the components given in consideration of economic constraints and needs and demands. Neuware -The book describes the results of research dealing with two types of petroleum dispersions: water in petroleum fractions and fuels as well as asphaltenes in crude oil. Such industrial research is aimed at acquiring new knowledge useful for im…proving processes and products. The main goal of the research carried out was to solve problems of refining technology and the exploitation of petroleum products. Some of the developed solutions have been patented and applied in industry. The problem of solubilizing a small technological amount of water in gasoline and diesel fuels with the aid of surfactant compositions has been successfully resolved. This solution has been used in business practice; it also increases the water tolerance of gasoline with 5% ethanol and allows for the effective use of LPG. The coalescence on fibrous barriers for dewatering fractions from the atmospheric distillation of crude oil allowed for the economic removal of dispersed water and additionally - the removal from diesel distillates of a significant part of the mineral contaminations. A coalescing method of removing sodium lye dispersed in heavy gasoline from the FCC process was successfully used in an industrial plant, replacing the sand filter used in Merox technology. The deep dehydration of the hydrotreated kerosene fraction by evaporating water into an inert gas, a nitrogen blanket, was developed. The product was additionally protected against the aging processes. The influence of pyrolysis oil, a waste product of the pyrolysis process, on the physical structure of crude oil was investigated. The results of the laboratory tests were verified in industrial trials in the AVD plant. Positive test results made it possible to use pyrolysis oil on an industrial scale changing the dispersion structure and properties of crude oil as well as distillation results.Books on Demand GmbH, Überseering 33, 22297 Hamburg 128 pp. Englisch.
