Black leather title and author labels on the spine; some wear and rubbing to the boards. Front board is slightly flared outward. Marbled endpapers and page edges. Some f…oxing to title page and frontispiece, but the rest of the book has very little foxing. Foldout map of the 1798 plan of the City of New Orleans after the end of the History at page 412. The map has one tear at the edge where it is attached. Pages 413 to 469 contain the Annals and Appendix, with the Contents listing at the rear comprising 16 pages. Originally published in two volumes in 1827, this edition is the first reissue of thar original.

Solid copy of this hard to find edition of these mainly Civil War recollections.
