Prima edizione
Soft cover. Condizione: Near Fine. 1st Edition. Sanderson Private Pilot Course. Denver, CO: Jeppesen & Co., 1972. Complete boxed instructional set containing Private Pilot Manual (hardcover), Private Pilot Workbook, Private Pilot Final Exam, and all original reference and training inserts, housed in the publisher's faux-woodgrain slipcase with gold foil Sanderson label. This beautifully designed 1970s flight-training system, developed by the Sanderson division of Jeppesen, guided generations of aspiring aviators through every stage of private-pilot ground school. The set covers aircraft systems, navigation, weather theory, and flight regulations, reinforced by hundreds of diagrams, exercises, and final exam materials. Includes U.S. Department of Commerce Daily Weather Maps (April 22-24 example series), sectional aeronautical charts (Houston and Dallas-Ft. Worth), Sanderson Pilot Supplies brochure, navigation log, weight-and-balance forms, FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator card, answer key, and blank certificate of completion. All items clean and unmarked. Minor shelf rubbing to slipcase edges; contents Near Fine. A superb, complete example of 1970s aviation education and graphic design. Both a study resource and a collectible artifact of Jeppesen's pioneering flight-training era. Jeppesen & Co., founded by pilot Elrey Borge Jeppesen in 1934, revolutionized aviation navigation and education. By the early 1970s, its Sanderson Flight Training System had become the industry standard for private-pilot instruction, combining modern graphic design with rigorous aeronautical science. Jeppesen's materials shaped pilot training worldwide and remain a touchstone of mid-century aviation culture.

Editore: Jeppesen & Co., Denver, CO, 1969
Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Near Fine. This is an authorized 1969 overseas printing of Jeppesen Commercial Pilot Course (Advanced,) produced for distribution in Taiwan (Republic of China) during a period of rapid civil aviation expansion in East Asia. While the instructional content is entirely in English, the volume bears a Traditional Chinese colophon confirming licensed local printing and registration under ROC law. Jeppesen regularly issued such sanctioned international editions for professional flight-training markets, making this a legitimate and historically grounded variant rather than a translation or later reprint. The course reflects Jeppesen's influential programmed-instruction methodology, developed to standardize and accelerate pilot ground-school education worldwide. Content covers advanced navigation, aeronautical theory, radio and radar systems, air-traffic-control procedures, chart interpretation, and operational planning. The book is extensively illustrated with diagrams, aeronautical symbols, and laid-in folded reference charts, including world aeronautical chart indexes and sectional-style instructional maps. Issued in 1969, the year of the Apollo 11 Moon landing, this manual reflects the height of the aerospace era, when advances in navigation, systems training, and procedural standardization shaped both civil aviation and spaceflight. Jeppesen's training materials formed part of the broader technical culture that supported jet-age aviation and the parallel rise of human space exploration, lending the book historical resonance beyond its immediate instructional use. This copy remains complete and well preserved for a working aviation manual of its era. The interior pages are clean and legible throughout, all fold-out charts are present and intact, and the binding is sound. The original dust jacket is present in Near Fine condition, showing only minimal edge wear, and is now protected in a clear mylar sleeve. As an authorized Taiwanese printing with a surviving jacket and complete charts, this example is considerably scarcer than standard U.S. domestic issues.
