This study set out to identify the factors responsible for the hiking prices and suggest policy interventions. The findings of the study indicate that the determinants of inflation differ between sectors (food and non-food) and time horizons (short run and long run). The most important forces behind food inflation in the long run are real income, money supply, inflation expectation and international food price. The long run determinants of non-food inflation, on the other hand, are money supply, interest rate and inflation expectations. In the short run model, wages, international prices, exchange rates and food supply are found to be prime sources of inflation. Overweight adolescents with low self-esteem are more likely to engage in high-risk behaviors. A cross-sectional study was conducted among 1364 randomly selected Form 2 and Form 4 students in 10 co-educational government secondary schools in Kota Bharu. A survey data analysis was applied. The prevalence of overweight and smoking was 12.5% and 6.7% respectively. The 1998 South African Demographic Health Survey will be used to analyse the sexual behaviour patterns of young women between 15 and 24 years of age, focusing specifically on their age at sexual debut, and age and the covariates associated with teenage pregnancy. These results show that having an older sister who has given birth to a child during adolescence could influence the age at which a younger sister has a child and her age at sexual debut.
