The selection of working fluids plays an important role in ORC system. R2…45fa and R134a are recommended for power generation. In addition, R245fa works well for the heat source temperature of the range 100-120°C whereas R134a below 100°C. Vacuum type solar collector is used for obtaining the hot water which can produce the temperature of 120°C. The commercial scroll expander that adopt magnetic coupling has been used in the experiment. The experimental investigation of the small-scale ORC showed acceptable characteristics for the temperature of the 120°C that uses R245fa working fluid. The system efficiency is 8.5 % with the power output of 1.4 kW. From the economic point of view the solar ORC system cannot recover its investment until 19 years of installation and operation currently without any subsidies. The concept in this book is helpful for solar ORC developers, manufacturers, energy planners, rural practitioners, different aid and donor agencies for adopting the sustainable energy system technology. 88 pp. Englisch.

The objectives of our research on the formation of paramur…al bodies were: to analyze the ultrastructure of the formations found between the plasma membrane and the secondary cell wall during the formation of the polysaccharide cell wall of flax phloem fibers, tension wood of poplar, seed hairs of cotton (trichome), secondary phloem fibers of hemp), to determine the origin (the cause) of these paramural bodies. The accumulated in our research material on studying the formation of the secondary cell walls of plants of different species has allowed us to contribute to the debate about some causes of plasmatubules origin in the area between the plasma membrane and cell wall, dynamics of their formation and structure. In the cases under consideration at the formation of the secondary cell wall, we deal to a greater extent with the structures arisen as a result of plasmolysis. The author concludes that the structures previously taken for plasmatubules in most cases are the Hecht's threads. 80 pp. Englisch.

In Nigerian society, persons with disabilities have been inco…rrectly understood, which has led to their negative perception and treatment. Experience has shown that the beliefs a group of individuals hold about the causes of a disability, to a large extent, affect their attitudes toward persons with disability. Similarly, the perception of the cause of disability determines the kind of treatment meted. In Igbo culture, for instance, a disability may be attributed to the wrath of the gods, in which case the person is killed or thrown into an evil forest to be devoured by wild animals. The irony is that this treatment is given despite the level of intelligence the disabled person possesses. This attitude is inhuman and, therefore, sets the Igbo people backward instead of forward. It is towards this end that the author is concerned about what can be done to correct these erroneous beliefs and cause a shift in stand. Sapropel is valuable organic, limy matter, which can be used for fertilization and improving of soil. Lakes sapropel of various chemical composition a poten…tial fertilizers were studied at the Voke Branch of the Lithuanian Institute of Agriculture during 1984-2008. Summarised results of a long-term experiment showed that calcareous sapropel reduced soil acidity, increased the amount of exchangeable bases. Under the influence of sapropel the contents of organic carbon and total nitrogen increased, as well. Experimental evidence suggests that organic and siliceous lakes ssapropel had no effect on soil acidity. The higher rate of sapropel increased the content of total nitrogen in the soil and humus. Also improved the quality of humus. Various rates of sapropel increased the soil moisture content and porosity, and declined soil bulk density. The higher rates of dry sapropel after 24 years of application increased the productivity of crops. 72 pp. Englisch.

Altered miRNAs and their target genes are located in each one of the four steps of the multistep model of carcinogenesis.
