Generalized linear model and regression based decomposition of income inequality has been used for regression purpose and to see factors contribution to income inequality respectively. The result of the analysis shows that education level of households, Age, Public sector and informal private worker employees have significant and positive contribution to per capita consumption expenditure while household size and age square has a significant and negative contribution. Where as Decomposition of factors, After controlling for the effects of unexplained variables, has indicated that the household head s attributes account for one-third of the total variance of (the log of) income which is 35.05% followed by economic sector(2.66%) and geographical location(0.91%). On the other hand, there is strong evidence that inflation targeting has led to higher volatility in exchange rate of developed economies. Furthermore, the deviations of inflation and output gap have increased in the post-IT period in few economies. However, we do not find evidence that inflation targeting induces trade-off relationship between inflation and output gap as the trade-off relationship between inflation and output gap also detected in the pre-IT period. This empirical study serves as a basis for policy formulation and change as well as programme design and intervention. Production and marketing studies were used to explore the cost parameters of the production and marketing and understand the inefficiency during production process and marketing channels. To observe the inefficiency during production, stochastic frontier production was used by using the primary data from two Tehsils of the Sargodha region known as Pakistan's California. It was concluded that all the input variables was directly related to technical efficiency except irrigation. Negative sign of the irrigation showed inverse relationship between irrigation and technical efficiency due to intercrop irrigation which resulted in over irrigation. Technical inefficiency model showed a positive relationship between age of the farmers, years of education and source of credit (dummy variable) while age-squared is inversely related to technical inefficiency. A total of 50 spawn packets with colonized substrate of Pleurotus ostreatus were collected randomly at different growth stages from Mushroom Culture Center, Savar, Dhaka. Ten mycoflora including Aspergillus flavus, A. fumigatus, A. niger, A. nidulans, A. terreus, Penicillium citrinum, P. thiersii, Penicillium. sp., Rhizopus stolonifer and Trichoderma harzianum were isolated and identified as associated with Pleurotus ostreatus (Oyster mushroom) substrate. Prevalence of all the isolated fungi gradually increased from mother spawn stage to 3rd flush stage. The growth of R. stolonifer was the quickest followed by T. harzianum. A laboratory trial has been conducted with Formalin, Bavistin and combination of Formalin and Bavistin at three different concentrations against identified associated mycoflora of Oyster mushroom substrates. The combination of Formalin and Bavistin at the highest concentration (500+75 ppm) was found to be the best in inhibiting the radial colony growth of all the identified fungi. 60 pp. Englisch.

In this study, Rana cyanophlyctis was exposed to three selected xenobiotics; cypermethrin, endosulfan and oxytetracyclin in the laboratory experiments. Two different concentrations were used, and cholinesterase activity was observed in brain, liver and kidney of R. cyanophlyctis. On the basis of present findings it is concluded that xenobiotics chemicals cypermethrin, endosulfan and oxyterracyclin are harmful for amphibians. Thirty three subjects (14 males and 19 females, aged from 20 to 40 years) were involved. PT showed no significant differences at RT at 4 h, while significant differences after 8 h and 24 h at RT and after 4 h, 8 h and 24 h at refrigerator were observed. APTT showed no statistically significant differences at 2 h but showed significant differences at 6 h, 8 h at both RT and refrigerator. Different viral diseases adversely affect cucurbit production. Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (CGMMV) is an important seed transmitted virus of cucurbits. CGMMV was widespread in cucurbit crops of the studied regions of Pakistan. Coat protein gene of the detected isolate from Pakistan (CGMMV-Pak) had a very high similarity with isolates from other regions of the world. Amino acid sequence was highly conserved. No diversity was observed in coat protein gene sequence of CGMMV-Pak with the other sequences based on phylogenetic relationship. Certain dry heat and chemical treatments of infected bottle gourd seeds were found effective in inactivating virus particles and checked seed transmission of CGMMV.
