The research design used in this study was contrasted group d…esign. This design enabled the research to contrast between single parenting and double parenting in relation to teenage indiscipline in schools. The target population was made up of all pupils in grades eight(8), nine(9), eleven(11) and twelve(12). The probability sampling procedure used a stratified random sampling technique. The sample size was one hundred and sixty-eight (168) respondents. The study demonstrated that certain factors such as late coming to school, absenteeism, poverty, smoking, drinking and drug taking contributed to indiscipline in single than in double parented children. The study also examined the effect of indiscipline on the academic performance of children from single and double parented homes. The findings of this study however, showed that there was a significant relationship between single parenting and indiscipline in selected Basic and High Schools of Zambia. 96 pp. Englisch.

A comparative analysis was carried out between migr…ating and non-migrating households. Findings revealed that the average land holding size, irrigated land holding size, livestock holding, income from agriculture and investment of household income in agriculture were higher in non-migrating households than in migrating households. The marginal value productivity of labour in farm activities was found lesser than wage from non farm activities. The size of abandoned land was found significantly higher in migrating households than that of non-migrating households. Out-migration has significant negative contribution in annual gross agriculture production. High share of the remittances was used for consumption purpose but only 5 percent was used for agriculture purposes. Limited irrigated land, food sufficiency level, livestock holding and income from agriculture were found factors exerting pressure for out-migration. 92 pp. Englisch.

In 2009, a new proclamation, based on the ILO Private Employment Agency Convention 181, was enacted in Ethiopia with the objective of further protecting the rights, safety and dignity of migrant workers by strengthening the mechanisms for monitoring and regulating the business of private recruiters. The implementation, the monitoring of private recruiters as well as the application of the proclamation in criminal court is examined. The law describes both public and private responsibility in terms of protection of Ethiopian workers abroad. It is argued that the capacity of licensed private employment agencies generally is too weak to fulfil the responsibility placed upon them and that this responsibility needs to be shared by other sectors of society. Finally, it is concluded that increased number of agencies under governmental supervision would benefit women employed abroad. 88 pp. Englisch.

It understood that no development can be possible without women development.Therefore, The findings of the study show that before getting membership of the NGOs, 4% women were involved in the business activities in the studied area; 34% was not involved; 62% women was not any idea. When they achieved membership of the NGO then few month later shown that 50% women joined the business activities; 30% not involved and 20% women had no business idea.Hence, women engagement in the business activities is increased 50% from 4% involvement before.So, it can help to researcher and student who are interested about that. 116 pp. Englisch.

Poor planning and a lack of facilities resulted in this economically deprived area being seen as the last place people would want to live. Many Irish people would associate Ballymun with danger, drug addiction and poverty. While such economic and social problems are still present, Ballymun has changed greatly. The demolition of the high rise towers, the construction of a main street and plaza, new houses and low rise apartement blocks, together with an arts centre, a leisure centre and buildings for community use have dramatically changed the urban landscape of this area. Through an intense period of urban regeneration, a new Ballymun has been created.
