One of the important water body which lies in the core of India is Upper Lake, Bhopal that provides irrigatio…n facility, potable water and is also the center of attraction for tourist. Regular soil erosion from the watershed of the Lake resulted in the deposition of sediments further reduction in its capacity. In this study soil erosion from watershed has been assessed utilizing Universal soil loss equation and USPED model and the sediments deposited in the lake had been evaluated using satellite image analysis. The sedimentation occurring per year is 580000 m3 and the volume of soil deposited come out to be 355855 m3. From this we observe that sedimentation occurs due to soil erosion is around 69.8 %. Various Conservative measures have been also discussed. Drinking water supplied by Upper Lake Bhopal is 140000 m3 of water daily which is 40% of the total water supply in the city. If we can reduce the sedimentation in the Upper Lake it can fulfil the needs of the Local public.

Since 2018, there has been dissonance among CARICOM Member States regarding their diplomatic positions on the Venezuelan crisis. This dissertation analyses the variety of positions of selected CARICOM Member States through the lens of realism and constructivism to attempt to explain what factors are influencing the States in question. Some States have supported a strong CARICOM position while others have weakened CARICOM's collective position as an international organisation. The findings suggest that CARICOM provides a forum for states to affirm their Caribbean identity while ensuring mutually beneficial trade partnerships. The balance use of nutrients (100% NPK) and its integrated application with FYM (100% NPK+FYM) improved the N content and its fractions in soil. However, the continuous cropping without fertilization and/or imbalance use of nutrients (100% N alone) proved deleterious to soil health as it resulted in a marked depletion of various N fractions in both surface and sub-surface soils. Hence, the conjoint application of inorganic fertilizers with organic manure could be the better option for long-term sustaining crop productivity and soil fertility in a Vertisol under soybean-wheat cropping system. 56 pp. Englisch.
