It was found from all case studies that all the interviewees had been immensely benefitted from the service of the society. T-test result (t=5.742) with p value showed that the difference between the mean annual income of poor and nonpoor was statistically significant at 95 percent confidence level. Chi-square results with p value showed that there were significant differences of service flow to the poor households in regard to participation in decision making, access to modern agricultural practice, access to irrigation facilities. Future research should focus on the coping strategy and future challenges of the village based organizations for maintaining sustainable rural development under extremely competitive markets'. 108 pp. Englisch.

The key idea is to use a standard linear Finite Element Model (hereafter FEM) of the structure to reproduce the balance e ect between the inertial and elastic forces in the free vibrating area of the structure. The linear matrix application, representing the FEM, will map the vector space of the measured nodal displacements to the vector space of the applied external nodal forces. From a theoretical point of view the resultant forces must be zero in the nodes under free vibration condition and as a consequence the applied external nodal force vector must be a null vector. A gap between the mathematical model and the real physical model in an homogeneous structure will anyway be present and will results in a force vector di erent from zero with a constant in space mean error distribution. This non-zero value represents the unbalanced forces between the inertial and elastic component due to the model uncertainty. 92 pp. Englisch.

New macromolecular and low-molar-mass charge-transporting compounds containing [3,3 ]bicarbazolyl and aromatic amino moieties with different arylamino groups as substituents have been synthesized. Our thesis work focuses on Frequency domain Blind Source Separation (BSS) in which the received mixed signals are converted into the frequency domain and Independent Component Analysis (ICA) is applied at each frequency bin. Our main target in this project is to solve the permutation and scaling ambiguities in real time applications using the method proposed by Minje et al in [12]. Our results show that this method works better in an 'offline' mixtures than in real time and lastly we gave some suggestions to improve the results. 64 pp. Englisch.

Streptokinase is the cheapest and most widely used thrombolytic agent. Hepatic and… renal functions, CK-MB and thrombin clotting time were measured in 25 patients of Acute Myocardial Infarction given Streptokinase and 25 control patients of AMI not given Streptokinase. Administration of Streptokinase did not cause significant elevation of the biochemical parameters reflecting hepatic and renal functions. Prolongation of the thrombin clotting implies biochemical confirmation of thrombolysis. The thrombin clotting time was significantly increased with the administration of Streptokinase in this study thereby biochemically confirming that thrombolysis had occurred with use of Streptokinase. This book traces the discovery of thrombolytic therapy and its initiation into clinical use and discusses in detail the hazards of thrombolytic therapy. As these systems grow in size and complexity, however, it becomes increasingly difficult for brute force query processing approaches to meet the perf…ormance demands of end users. In this paper, we describe the R3-cache, a natively multi-dimensional caching framework designed specifically to support sophisticated warehouse/OLAP environments. R3-cache is based upon an in-memory version of the R-tree that has been extended to support buffer pages rather than disk blocks. A key strength of the R 3-cache is that it is able to utilize multi-dimensional fragments of previous query results so as to significantly minimize the frequency and scale of disk accesses. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners allow scientists and medical professionals to in…vestigate RA pathology with more precision than conventional radiography by detecting synovitis, which is believed to be an early event in RA. Current assessments of synovitis using MRI involve the semiquantitative RA MRI scoring (RAMRIS) method, which has shown variable reliability in previous studies. The principle objectives of this study were to investigate whether a quantitative manual segmentation method could serve as an outcome measure for the assessment of synovitis by analyzing high field 3 Tesla (3T) MRI wrist images from early and established RA patients. The results showed that manual segmentation at 3T can offer a valid and reliable measurement of synovitis. However, in terms of efficiency, this method may be best used in clinical settings as a reference to which other outcome measures are compared. 84 pp. Englisch.

The Weak and Strong Maximum Principles are shown to hold for this class of operators in bounded domains, as well as…a Hopf type lemma, under suitable hypotheses on the principal part and on the degeneracy set of the operator. We prove a Poincaré inequality, which then allows to define the functional setting where to study weak solutions for equations and inequalities involving this class of operators. A good example of such an operator is the Grushin operator, to which we devote particular attention. As an application of these tools in the degenerate elliptic setting, we prove a partial symmetry result for classical solutions of semilinear problems on bounded, symmetric and suitably convex domains and a nonexistence result for classical solutions of semilinear equations with subcritical growth defined on the whole space. This book studies different approaches of preparing nanodiamond- related materials and analysis of material properties. Nano-Ni catalysts by one-step chemical reduction were used for the catalytic growth of nanodiamond films by Hot Filament CVD. Nitrogen- doped ultrananocrystalline diamond films deposited by Microwave Plasma CVD and nanocarbon ensembles were investigated by spectroscopy. Nd:YAG laser CVD is used to grow carbon films on glass. Nano-Ni and CeNi as molten catalysts mixed with nanodiamond seeds and adamantane for growing diamond under H2 were studied at 1 atm. The exploration should open new research areas for nanodiamond materials on synthesis and characterization and would be helpful to professionals in diamond materials, or anyone who is interested either in scientific research or industrial applications. 100 pp. Englisch.
