To understand the impact that different demand and supply side variables have on property prices, an extensive Ordinary Least squares (OLS) regression was carried out, and the results are discussed in an uncomplicated manner. The results are not exclusive to Hong Kong, as the findings are suitable to understand real estate in other countries as well. This research has found new factors that were not considered in earlier studies and have a notable impact on property prices. Furthermore, the history and geographic peculiarities of real estate in Hong Kong have been comprehensively explained. While this study engages in many mathematical processes, special efforts have been made to ensure it is an enjoyable read and provides an overall understanding of the residential property market.

Estimated total cost of the project is Rs. 219.509 million inclusive of Rs. 62.600 million as foreign exchange compared. Internal rate of return in case of this study is 32.95% Comparison of the results with equivalent diesel generation shows the economic viability of the project. Previous studies indicate that many studies have been carried out by selecting… only two or three cultural variables and the situation in developing countries is often not clear. The study found that gender and education have significant impact on citizenship performance (CP). While collectivism, future orientation, and uncertainty avoidance are found to be positively related to CP, power distance and masculinity values are negatively correlated with CP. It is also evident that the same cultural value orientation can have both positive and negative impacts on CP, depending on the particular aspect of CP. The findings also reveal that developing countries are not totally different from developed countries as far as the impact of cultural values on CP is concerned. The data for the present study is taken from the third round of National Family Health Survey (NFHS-3) conducted during 2005-06. Cox-regression model has been used to analyze calendar data. The study shows that mainly fertility and health related reasons were the reasons behind discontinue for the last method. Method related reason was also having its significance in abandonment of the last method in all the selected states. Pearl pregnancy index was generally lower for five years exposure period as compare to three years exposure. From previous epidemiological studies, it has been found that there is a po…sitive correlation between reduced emissions from car and improvement of asthma prevalence. The paper focuses on densely populated inner-city Stockholm where people, especially children, are supposed to be highly exposed to air-borne pollution. Since traffic emissions has been reduced significantly in inner-city Stockholm as a result of introducing SCC scheme, and nitrogen-dioxide (NO2) is one of the influential determinants of childhood asthma, the economic benefits have been calculated due to reduction in NO2 concentration. In addition, both the direct and indirect approaches are followed to estimate health benefits. Under the direct approach, reduced costs of hospitalization for asthma is calculated, while reduced costs of parent s sick leave for child s asthma is considered under indirect one. Finally, total health gains are figured out from two kinds of benefits. 56 pp. Englisch.

This book develops a five-variable Structural Vector Autoregressive (SVAR) model to test the symmetry of five types of shocks i.e., external global and regional; domestic supply, interest rate and exchange rate shocks. The results show asymmetric correlations among domestic shocks. It focuses on the evolution of Japanese foreign aid and its policies over time and the motivations that Japan has had in her development… assistance. Empirical analysis is performed with a rich database, covering a total of 21 years (1981-2001) and 81 recipients. Because of the length of the data, it has become possible to compare aid allocation behavior in the 1980s and the 1990s and to test whether the end of the cold war affected the aid allocation behavior. Self-interest of donor, humanitarian concern, and the policy performance variables are introduced. The results suggest that Japan takes national-interest, recipient-country-need into consideration and pays attention to the democratic environment of the recipient countries. Japanese aid policies have evolved over time; however, not much changes are evident empirically while comparing the aid allocation behavior between 1980s and 1990s. Asian bias prevails in both of the decades. One important finding is that democratic environment of the developing countries is considered by Japan in her ODA allocation in the post-cold war period. 68 pp. Englisch.
