This book was written after a thorough qualitative analysis of all these factors… affecting the residential property market, particularly in Hong Kong. To understand the impact that different demand and supply side variables have on property prices, an extensive Ordinary Least squares (OLS) regression was carried out, and the results are discussed in an uncomplicated manner. The results are not exclusive to Hong Kong, as the findings are suitable to understand real estate in other countries as well. This research has found new factors that were not considered in earlier studies and have a notable impact on property prices. Furthermore, the history and geographic peculiarities of real estate in Hong Kong have been comprehensively explained. This study investigated the following areas: how much do rural populations know about HIV/AIDS from mass media; what gaps are there in their knowledge/awareness, the reasons for the existing gaps and what can be done to bridge the gaps. The proposed layout of the study recommended is conventional powerhouse with a spillway discharge downstream of RD 283. The procedures presented fill a need for an authoritative technique to help in the design and environmental aspects of planning for potential projects. Estimated total cost of the project is Rs. 219.509 million inclusive of Rs. 62.600 million as foreign exchange compared. Internal rate of return in case of this study is 32.95% Comparison of the results with equivalent diesel generation shows the economic viability of the project. Project is relatively marginal and very small in terms of energy contribution yet it is commended for implementation in view of acute shortage of electricity in the country at present. 96 pp. Englisch.

The process of the revision of consumer acquis resulted in three proposals on Consumer rights directive: from the European Commission, the European Council and the European Parliament. There were substantial differences among these three legislative initiatives as regards the level of harmonization and the scope of application of the future directive. Previous studies indicate that many studies have been carried out by selecting… only two or three cultural variables and the situation in developing countries is often not clear. The study found that gender and education have significant impact on citizenship performance (CP). While collectivism, future orientation, and uncertainty avoidance are found to be positively related to CP, power distance and masculinity values are negatively correlated with CP. It is also evident that the same cultural value orientation can have both positive and negative impacts on CP, depending on the particular aspect of CP. The findings also reveal that developing countries are not totally different from developed countries as far as the impact of cultural values on CP is concerned. The study contributes to the advancement of CP theories of individual differences and cultural values and the knowledge relevant to developing countries. 76 pp. Englisch.

We tested the hypothesis- Women from poor economic sta…tus tend to have higher relative risk for abandonment and Women having health related reasons more likely to discontinue family planning method. The data for the present study is taken from the third round of National Family Health Survey (NFHS-3) conducted during 2005-06. Cox-regression model has been used to analyze calendar data. The study shows that mainly fertility and health related reasons were the reasons behind discontinue for the last method. Method related reason was also having its significance in abandonment of the last method in all the selected states. Pearl pregnancy index was generally lower for five years exposure period as compare to three years exposure. In all the cases, those women who had desire for additional child have higher relative risk to discontinue the method. 116 pp. Englisch.
