As a consequence of a global sky high growth of investments in these two technologies… it is natural to wonder what fuelled this trend. Besides the obvious question about whether it is worth investing or not, it is interesting to understand if and how value is created and which parameters can significantly influence it. In order to answer these questions I have built a financial model based on the Adjusted Present Value method. This method may result complicated if compared to the traditional Discounted Cash Flow. However, it has the advantage of enabling not only the determination of the the net present value of investments, but also the separation of the value generated by investing decisions from that generated by financing ones. Key findings demonstrate that growth is backed by a good average profitability for both wind and solar projects, even though results can change a lot, mostly depending on financing considerations 96 pp. Englisch.

Based on the neo-classical theory of economic growth, the study attempts to analyze: (i) the contribution of TFP to economic development of each country; (ii) the overall assessment and the differences in the growth experience of two economies; (iii) some theoretical explanations for these results, and (iv) identifying some possible determinants of TFP. The study finds out that: (i) TFP played an important role in the economic growth of Vietnam and China since 1980s and especially in later years, contributed to their GDP growth 30.4% and 22.6% respectively; (ii) FDI is significant factor explaining the Vietnam's TFP growth from 1980 to 2000; (iii) business fluctuation affects the estimation of the Vietnam and China's TFP growth considerably, and (iv) accumulation of capital was the dominant factor that contributed to economic growth of Vietnam and China with 54.1% and 60.5% respectively. 64 pp. Englisch.

It might be suggested that the Zimbabwean short-term insurance industry has limited capabilities to consistently identify, measure and manage risk exposures across the company and thereby limit exposures. Execution of EWRM is sporadic and losses have not been limited in accordance with predetermined risk tolerance guidelines. Therefore, the Zimbabwean short-term insurance industry might be viewed as having weak EWRM. Off-farm employment is found to be positively correlated with squatting, while renting in land and belonging to a Village Conservation Program are negative correlates. Looking at the broader standpoint of Natural Resource Management Systems, the analysis concludes that encouraging community forest management programs and policing as collective action intervention measures, among others, may help curb squatting. The aim of this study is to investigate the evolution path of ethnic media in those countries where the history of immigration is mature enough to configure the society as multicultural. More precisely, it is an attempt to define whether and how an evolution towards the mass media model is possible. To do so, the ethnic radio industry in Paris has been analyzed, taking as examples the experiences of two ethnic radio stations: Beur FM and Aligre FM. It also encourages associations to come up with savings clubs to mobilize funds from members for loaning to those members in need at an interest. Finally it also recommends that the government come up with a set of relaxed regulations that would create a non formal board to oversee the informal trade activities. This book focuses on demand analysis (i.e. forecasting the future workforce demand) in workforce planning. Workforce demand forecasting techniques can be classified into two broad categories viz. qualitative and quantitative. Generally, quantitative techniques are used to forecast workforce size and mix, whereas, qualitative techniques forecast competency requirements. This research explores demand analysis in many folds. First, state-of-the-art of workforce analysis techniques are presented and synthesized into a scenario specific forecasting technique(s) selection tree. Afterwards, the Clonal C-fuzzy Decision Tree (C2FDT), a decision support model, is proposed to forecast future workforce demand. There has been a great deal of research on this issue and specifically on convergence between and within post communist countries. This thesis has the aim to in…vestigate the case of external (to the West) and internal (convergence of districts) convergence in Bulgaria. There is evidence of faster convergence for transition countries, compared to the developed ones in Europe. Results were also obtained for the convergence of the relative share of some GDP structures in Bulgaria. Positive trend of convergence was found for the gross value added of the following GDP structures: government expenditure, investments and gross value added of services, industry and agriculture and forestry. Neither convergence, nor divergence was found in the personal consumption GDP structure. For the Bulgarian districts was found divergence between the districts in the Southwest region (the one with the capital) and the other districts in Bulgaria. 52 pp. Englisch.
