It is recognized that such interaction affects quantitatively (through exchanged of water volumes leading to complex flow patterns) and qualitatively (by contaminant transport) both…water systems. Today, the most common approach for analyzing such interactions is mathematical modeling. This book gives an attempt to analyze the interaction between the aquifer system and the lakes Plumbuita and Fundeni, located in Bucharest City, Romania. For the qualitative assessment of the goroundwater, four hypothetical contaminant transport models (for nitrate which was found with concentrations exceeding the admissible threshold) were developed. The contamination source was considered to be the sewer system that is located at only three meters above the first aquifer system. Such technique, as the one approached for this case of study, is believed to allow the understanding of the communication between the two systems (groundwater and surface water).

The connection between literacy… skills and academic retention is well documented and accepted (Leybaert, 2005; Lieu, 2004; Trezek & Malmgren, 2005). Leybaert (2005) and Trezek and Malmgren (2005) found DHH high school graduates have reading abilities that are comparable to non-impaired hearing Grade 4 students. This finding may lead to the incorrect conclusion that DHH students cannot develop reading skills similar to their hearing peers. Also, given the various causes and types of hearing loss, teachers can expect to be instructing at least one student who is DHH in their classroom (Pakulski & Kadervek, 2002).Overall, participant interviews revealed barriers to inclusive classroom practices. Future studies may wish to examine both pre-service and teachers¿ beliefs toward inclusionary practice.

This paper examines the ability of Austrian business cycle theory to explain the cycle…. The theory claims that disequilibrium on market for loanable funds appears after monetary expansion. As a result, interest rate does not correspond to individuals preferences, which induces distortion in relative prices, capital misallocation, and unsuitable structure of production. The inevitable market correction then incurs economic recession. First, the paper describes the methodological origins of the theory and then summarizes its main principles. The description of the US economy during the examined period follows. At the end, the theory is confronted with reality. Although there are some minor differences between predictions of the theory and the actual development of the US economy, it can be concluded that Austrian business cycle theory can help us explain the recent business cycle. 80 pp. Englisch.

The study employs Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF) unit root test, Kwiatkowski, Philips, Schmidt and Shin (KPSS)…Test, Johansen based Cointegration and Granger Causality Test. The ADF and KPSS tests indicate that the series are all integrated of order one [I(1)]. The Johansen Cointegration tests indicate three long run relationships between government expenditure and economic growth. While the test for causality shows that economic growth granger-cause government expenditure. The study also indicates that there exist two unidirectional causality running from GDP to TCE and GDP to TRE which supports the Wagner s Law. The results of Error Correction Model (ECM) have negative signs and the Error Correction term (EC) indicate that there exists long run relationship between economic growth and Government expenditure. The study recommends that government should ensure that capital and recurrent expenditures are properly managed to accelerate economic growth. 108 pp. Englisch.
