Baseball historian and authority on the Negro Leagues, John Holway presents Max Ma…nning, Wilmer Fields, Verdell Mathis, "Jake" Stephens, Chet Brewer, "Willie" Powell, George Giles, Willard "Home Run" Brown, Dave Barnhill and a few others. In the 1980s, Meckler Books was one of the few publishers that were offering books on the Negro Leagues and were the dominant publisher of baseball titles until McFarland came along. Second printing, both the non price clipped Dust Jacket and the book are in very good condition.
