This study aims to evaluate the quality of service provided at a university restaurant in the city of Mossoró, Rio Grande do Norte, from the perspective of users, using the SERVQUAL tool. Thus, an exploratory approach to the problem was used based on a case study, in which data were collected through qualitative and quantitative research. For this pur…pose, an experimental bench was used, simulating a real supply system (LENHS/UFPB). The hydro-energy efficiency of the direct pumping system was evaluated based on tests using the conventional scenario (without a controller) and employing the control system in situations of maximum and minimum demand. A case study was also conducted in the Pressure Zone of Reservoir R-11 (João Pessoa/PB) to verify that the implementation of the frequency inverter can generate hydroenergy gains in the supply system. The results obtained demonstrated the success of the controlled system, as the use of the controller coupled with the frequency inverter provided a reduction in operating pressures and water consumption. The results were also positive for the case study, as there were energy savings and reductions in the pressures supplied. 52 pp. Englisch.

The application of pectin in the food industry is very versatile, since this additive has gelling, thickening and stabilising properties and can be used in a wide variety of dairy, meat and bakery products, jams, fruit pulp, beverages and others. There are several studies on the use of different residues for pectin extraction. However, although guava (Psidium guajava L.) contains a reasonable amount of pectin, there is little information on its use as a source of extraction. The ensiled biomass was light brown in colour, with a slightly acidic aroma and a slightly crea…my consistency. The pH was 4.38±0.11, with values of 84.16% dry matter, 40.06% crude protein, 26.82% ether extract, 9.31% mineral matter, 65.16 g/kg calcium, and 22.90 g/kg phosphorus. Significant differences were observed in the digestibility of crude protein, non-nitrogenous extract, ether extract, mineral matter, metabolisable energy, and metabolisable energy coefficient. It was concluded that acid silage has good nutrient digestibility and potential for use as an energy source. The results obtained for the performance and quality of eggs from laying hens fed diets containing acid silage meal showed a significant difference (P<0.05), with a quadratic effect being observed. Based on the results found, it was concluded that acid silage from pirarucu residues can be included up to a level of 2.5% in the feed without interfering with egg performance and quality. 60 pp. Englisch.

However, by 2022, the agricultural and bare land areas will have expanded by 32017 ha and 23593 ha respectively. And a decrease in vegetation area of 15462 ha. According to our field surveys, demographic pressure is diversified, with 44% of factors influencing grazing productivity coming from rainfall, 34% from agriculture, and 21% and 1% respectively from pastoral activity and bush fires. The population's knowledge of this disease is an asset in reducing its contamination and the associated death rate.The aim of this study was to contribute to improving the m…anagement of tuberculosis in the provincial city of Kinshasa by assessing the population's level of knowledge about the disease.We carried out a cross-sectional, descriptive study involving 300 randomly selected respondents from 4 churches in the city of Kinshasa. The socio-demographic characteristics and knowledge of this population about tuberculosis were studied.Of the 300 respondents, 53.3% were women with an average age of 30.4±11.9 years. Among them, 45.3% had a low socio-economic status. One hundred percent of respondents were informed about tuberculosis; the medical profession and the media were the main sources of information. Overall good knowledge of tuberculosis was 15%. Knowledge was significantly higher among civil servants (p=0.048), Protestants and Kimbanguists (p=0.007). 60 pp. Englisch.

Imported animals take a long time to adapt in extreme conditions of the republic and quickly lose productivity, especially in the hot season. Content analysis was used to analyse the data.
