Highly sensitive to atmospheric pollution, they are excellent bioindicators of air quality. This study combines an inventory of co…rticolous lichens with an assessment of air quality along three main roads in Ngaoundéré, Cameroon. Twenty-five species in 15 genera and 9 families were recorded. Physconia detersa, Permotrema austrosinense and Hypotrachya livida were the most abundant species, with Physcia apolia the least abundant. Parmeliaceae is the most diverse family, with 11 species and 5 genera. The foliaceous thallus is the most abundant and the fruticose thallus the least. The Wakwa station is the poorest in lichens and has the most polluted air, while the Tchabal station is the richest in lichens and has the least polluted air. The pollution of the sites is due to human activities, in particular road traffic, which is very dense in this crossroads town. These initial results will help to safeguard the environment and the health of the local population. 76 pp. Englisch.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the agronomic effectiveness of Calcined Natural Phosphate (CNP) and Acidulated Natural Phosphate (ANP) on sorghum performance, as well as their effects on soil physical and chemical properties. A trial was set up using a completely randomized Fisher block design with 13 treatments in three replications. The results showed that the contribution of the unique formulation of PNC and its combinations with TSP produced better yields. Finally, the results showed that, whatever the type of phosphorus used, both at flowering and at harvest, the assimilable phosphorus content of the soil was higher than that of the control. The simulation of the data using ARENA Version 14.0 software concludes that the number of commercial vehicles will increase significantly, making the waiting time in the toll plazas even longer, especially in Casimiro de Abreu, where the maximum time will be over nineteen minutes. To reduce the impact on stakeholders, the study suggests some measures for the medium-term planning of the highway, such as encouraging the use of electronic payment tags and increasing the number of booths for manual service. 76 pp. Englisch.

One of the prospects and technological innovations is to reach a large market that is the petroleum industry and its derivatives, or rather the petrochemical industry. In this study, the Al-Cu-Fe quasicrystalline alloy, prepared by casting and heat treated, was subjected to catalytic activity tests. The experimental results obtained suggest that the quasicrystal catalyst can be considered an excellent alternative for catalytic reactions. Adsorption isotherms and Gibbs and Langmuir equations of state were investigated. For systems containing toluene as solvent, the attraction between solvent molecules and asphaltene molecules is strong due to its high solubility, thus reducing the interfacial activity of asphaltene molecules. For systems containing heptol as a solvent, the interaction between the asphaltene molecule and the solvent molecules is weak, resulting in an increase in the interfacial activity of the asphaltene molecules. The dilatational rheological interfacial properties of the systems studied (IFT, surface pressure and modulus of elasticity) depend exclusively on the interfacial coverage. These results are useful for understanding how asphaltene adsorption processes occur at fluid/fluid interfaces at the microscopic level. 72 pp. Englisch.

Concentrations of the heavy metals cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb) and zinc (Zn) are below the required standards.According to the results obtained, the oily sludge contains a very high level of waste oils, contributing to its valorization as a substitute fuel in cement kilns or blast furnaces in foundries. For this purpose, the case study was defined as the methodology, with a sample of 15 adolescent participants, who explored their emotions through experiential activities. To evaluate the impact of the intervention, a 16-question questionnaire was administered.
