The concept of 'justice' is considered in each work in which female characters act according to their own code, which is at odds with civil law. As revealed by the examination of Anne Hutchinson and the trials against two American Indian women in Catharine Maria Sedgwick's Hope Leslie, Massachusetts Bay Colony enacted laws on an as-needed basis to thwart political dissension and to subdue the threat of the Pequot Indians. Moreover, federal and state law was used to entrench slavery and to deny African Americans rights enjoyed by other American citizens. The effects of such laws are considered in connection with slave women who violate the law in Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin, Harriet Jacobs's Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, Sherley Anne Williams's Dessa Rose, and Toni Morrison's Beloved. In each context, women acted according to a core sense of beliefs and values, despite man-made rules of law. The th…eory is explained and shown as practised in Wittgenstein's typescripts and manuscripts, which communicate not just philosophy, but technical details about German military projects, and even alludes to escapes from Germany, all hidden in a masquerade of 'nordisms' and 'germanisms'. The historical background of Wittgenstein's anti-fascistic spy-actions is discussed as an example for his concept of language, as acting with and through signs limited by rational induction. The systematic approach of the book develops this idea through different grades of formalization in language. Logical forms, adequacy of formal representations and the modal concept of bipolarity are discussed as motive for the high value of the symbolism, that can function as extension, axiomatic structure or as transparent syntax of signs. As based on unconscious essentials of thought, indicated by transgressions of rationality, transparency of a symbolism does only mean that everything not reducable to physical reactions can be apprehended as a sign. Alternatives of formal systems show, that formal languages or calculi are in this sense not merely syntactical structures, but language. Es wurde untersucht, ob bei Kopfs…chmerzpatienten regionalspezifische Unterschiede (zephal/extrazephal) in der Schmerzwahrnehmung vorliegen, welche psychopathologischen Variablen die Veränderung der Schmerzsensibilität beeinflussen und ob die Schmerzinhibition defizitär ist. Mittels psychophysikalischer und psychometrischer Verfahren wurde festgestellt, dass Kopfschmerzpatienten zephal eine erhöhte Schmerzsensibilität und weniger Schmerzinhibitions-Effekte aufweisen als gesunde Kontrollpersonen. Bei Kopfschmerzpatienten liegen demnach ähnliche Störungen in der Schmerzverarbeitung vor wie bei Patienten mit anderen chronischen Schmerzsyndromen. 199 pp. Deutsch.

Diese Untersuchung befaßt sich unter anderem mit dem speziellen Übereinkommen über den Dienstleistungsbereich, dem General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS). Ein besonderer Dienstleistungssektor des GATS - der Telekommunikationsbereich - erhält eine spezielle Betrachtung. Kaum ein Wirtschaftsbereich hat in den letzten Jahren eine ähnlich bemerkenswerte Entwicklung genommen wie der internationale und nationale Handel mit Telekommunikationsdienstleistungen. Mobilfunktelefone und der Handel per Internet (E-commerce) beeinflussen nicht nur unseren Sprachgebrauch, sondern sind bereits heute wichtige Wirtschaftszweige und weisen eine steigende Tendenz auf. Fraglich ist, ob durch die GATS-Anlage zur Telekommunikation weitere internationale Liberalisierungen in diesem wachsenden Dienstleistungssektor erzielt werden können. Zunächst wird die Entstehungsgeschichte und die Bedeutung der WTO dargestellt. Sodann wird das internationale Dienstleistungsübereinkommen vorgestellt und analysiert. Der erreichte Liberalisierungsstand sowie der Mechanismus der fortschreitenden Liberalisierung unter dem Regime des GATS, wird anhand der Anlage zum Telekommunikationssektor näher erklärt. Schließlich wird untersucht, inwieweit die europäische und die nationale Rechtsordnung vom WTO-Recht tangiert wird und welche Bedeutung dieses Recht für private Parteien, insbesondere international operierende Unternehmen hat.
