The meanings of vernacular and popular are well represented and almost welded in the peculiar historical process that began with Venezuela's cumbersome and violent incorporation into Western civilization through Spain. The images are linked directly to this process and its consequences and transformations. Proceeds from the sale of this book benefit environmental restoration and education.
