Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. When I began my recovery journey, I wasn't just trying to survive - I was trying to rebuild a life I could finally be proud of. One Day Stronger - One Day at a Time is the result of that process: a working guide for recovery, spiritual growth, leadership, and setting meaningful goals that can transform your everyday life.I wrote this workbook to help others find what I once thought I had lost - purpose, direction, and the belief that one small, intentional day can change everything. My story began in chaos: years of addiction, detoxes, loss, and deep regret. But it was also the beginning of something greater. Through recovery, I learned to rebuild my spirit, my career, and my connection to the Creator - and now I want to share those tools with you. This workbook isn't meant to be read once and set aside. It's designed to be worked through, reflected on, and lived with. Each chapter is short and direct, allowing you to pause, think, and write - helping you form new habits and new ways of seeing yourself. You can read a chapter a day for two weeks and begin developing a rhythm of self-awareness, gratitude, and renewal.Throughout these pages, I draw from my Ojibwe heritage and the Seven Grandfather Teachings - wisdom, love, respect, honesty, bravery, humility, and truth - but you don't need to be Native to find meaning here. These teachings, like recovery itself, belong to everyone who seeks balance and growth.Inside you'll find: Daily routines and reflections for strengthening your mind, body, and spirit.Exercises and journaling prompts that guide personal insight and goal setting.Sections like "My Recovery Rulebook," "The Gratitude Grid," and "The Leadership Reset" - tools I use myself to stay grounded and resilient.References to my other works, Ashes to Insight and One Day Stronger: An Ojibwe Journey Through Recovery and Rebuild, which remind readers that healing is a lifelong path, not a one-time event.I believe recovery is not about perfection - it's about presence. Every day is a chance to become one day stronger. No matter where you start - in treatment, incarceration, sober living, or simply in a moment of truth - this workbook can help you rebuild your foundation one reflection, one choice, and one honest step at a time.Whether you are Indigenous or not, I invite you to walk this journey with me. Together, we can learn how to rise from our own ashes, rebuild our purpose, and live with gratitude and strength - one day at a time.Rise. Reflect. Rebuild. One Day Stronger - One Day at a Time. This book is born from my journey of recovery, leadership, and cultural renewal, yet it is meant to walk alongside anyone seeking healing, spiritual growth, or the strength to rise again.Throughout these pages, I will speak often of the Creator. For me, the Creator is the Great Spirit-the sacred force that has always guided and sustained our people. For you, the Creator may carry a different name or meaning. It may be God, Allah, the universe, or even the collective strength of a 12-step home group. What matters is not the label but the connection: that power beyond yourself that steadies your conscience, awakens your inner reasoning, and becomes the voice you pray to and for in moments of need. You will also find words and teachings from the Ojibwe language. Our language carries the heartbeat of our culture, and I wish to share just enough guidance so that readers unfamiliar with Ojibwe pronunciation may approach these words with confidence. We use what is called the double vowel system, which lengthens certain sounds: "aa" is held longer, like stretching a word in song."ii" is pronounced like a long "ee.""oo" is pronounced like the "oo" in "moon."A single "e" is pronounced as a long "a," as in "say." For example, the word Ojibwe is pronounced O-jib-way.These small details preserve the beauty and rhythm of the language. They are not meant to overwhelm you, but to invite you into a deeper appreciation of the words that have carried generations of teachings forward. Finally, I offer a reminder. Recovery, whether through Native ways, a 12-step fellowship, or another support system, belongs to everyone. While I share from the perspective of my Ojibwe teachings and my path through recovery programs, every reader's higher power, support group, and inner journey are equally valid. And as you move through these pages, remember this: if old thoughts or old behaviors begin creeping back in, recognize them, name them, and strengthen yourself against them. That awareness is part of the warrior's path too. With these thoughts, I welcome you into the story. May these reflections help you rise, reclaim your strength, and walk forward with purpose.
