The specific objectives included: finding out the lessons learned from COVID-19 by health sciences librarians in Zambia, ascertaining the role of health sciences librarians in a pandemic and determining the challenges faced by health sciences librarians in the current Covid-19 pandemic.The results showed that 19% of the respondents have learned innovative ways of delivering and providing services to patrons remotely. Another 19% indicated the importance of continually adapting and adjusting to new technology. The main challenges health sciences librarians faced in the provision of information during the COVID-19 pandemic include lack of collaboration with health professionals; poor Information Communication Technology facilities and lack of adequate media platforms to inform the public on the pandemic. 52 pp. Englisch.

Powder…X-Ray diffraction was used to describe the activated carbon that resulted. XRD patterns revealed amorphous carbon structure, and scanning electron microscopy was used to examine the surface morphology of DSAC. Iodine adsorption properties of date seed-derived activated carbon was good, with an iodine number value of 798 mg/g, which is substantially greater than commercial activated carbon. In order to identify ideal adsorption conditions of malachite green (MG) from aqueous solutions, variables such as starting pH, adsorbent dosage, contact time, and temperature have all been examined. The Langmuir isotherm was found to appropriate the experimental results well. The dye uptake mechanism was described using the pseudo-second-order rate expression. The activation energy of adsorption was likewise found to be 14 kJ.mol-1, representing that the adsorption is chemisorption. 52 pp. Englisch.

Genetic Algorithms encode a potential solution to a specific problem on a simple chromosome like data structure and apply recombination operators to several structures so as to preserve critical information. Shortest path routing algorithms are well established problem and addressed by many researchers in different ways. One such alternative is to use a GA-based routing algorithm. However, it is also known that GA-based routing algorithm is not fast enough for real-time computation. We propose to use this huge stochastic optimization tool for Optimum Path Routing Problem. Space holder material wax was used in two different sizes: 200-500 microns and 500-1000 microns in order to observe the effect of different pore size on mechanical properties and density. The sintered samples were examined in terms of relative density, percent porosity, pores size and distribution, compressive strength and flexural strength. The results show that percent porosity of sintered samples in case of copper and silver alloyed titanium foam is less than pure titanium foams due to higher compressibility of silver and copper powders. Compressive strength and flexural strength of alloy foam is higher than pure titanium due to solid solution strengthening. 92 pp. Englisch.
