'The Role of AI in Multimedia Information Systems', was the topic presented by the third keynote speaker, Dr. N. Bourbakis, Wednesday morning June 8th. The goal was to exchange di rectly experience and know-how in reactor dosimetry and related programmes. A need for normalisation was felt in order to guarantee that: the same nuclear data is used; measurements in different laboratories give the same results (need for in tercalibration experiments and standards); results are expressed such that a com parison with results from other laboratories is possible. In sub-groups, specific arguments were discussed resulting in final recommenda tions. These final recommendations were then discussed in a plenary meeting and accepted as a recommendation for European usage. His talk was of great interest and drew a great deal of discussion and questions by the participants. 'The Role of AI in Multimedia Information Systems', was the topic presented by the third keynote speaker, Dr. N. Bourbakis, Wednesday morning June 8th.
