Auf einen Blick wollte ich mich über die Symptomatik eines Delirs oder einer Involutionsdepression informieren, was an hand der Register der ausführlichen Hand-und Lehrbücher schwierig ist. Dies Büchlein soll eine solche Übersicht nun ermöglichen: schnell zu finden ohne lange zu suchen: zur Information für Studenten in den klinischen Semestern, für das Internatsjahr, für junge Kollegen und auch für erfahrene zum schnellen Rekapitulieren. Der Bereich der psychosomatischen Krankheiten wurde, da diese in erster Linie den Internisten beschäftigen, nicht mit aufgenommen. Angaben zur Pa thogenese und Therapie sind, da sie den Rahmen dieses Büchleins sprengen würden, nur ausnahmsweise aufgeführt. Mit Bedacht wurde der Begriff der 'Psychopathie', der kaum scharfe diagnostische Zuordnungen und keine therapeutischen Ansätze ermöglicht, nicht benutzt. Mehr Wert wurde auf die praktisch wichti gen Bereiche der Sucht und der psychiatrisch relevanten Nebenwir kungen von Medikamenten gelegt. Mein Kollege Roland Urban hat mir sehr bei der Abfassung des Manuskripts geholfen. Ihm möchte ich an dieser Stelle dafür herzlich danken. Außerdem danke ich Herrn Ass.
