Published by John Walker and Company of London. Hardcover, 7 1/4" x 5" x 1 1/2", red with black and gold artwork, with a setback embossed title plate, very elaborate, in red, gold and green. The spine (red black and gilt, is faded but legible. All the corners and the crown and foot of the spine are quite worn. The front and back hinges are split; the front has repaired with clear tape, but the hinge at the Contents page has also split. However, it is all present and holding together (nothing falling out). There is writing and a name-stamp on the front end-papers. Tiny Victorian-era print, red frames, many romantic/Victorian drawn illustrations. Gilt-tinted edges. 633 pages (includes 19 pages of Notes). Firm binding. Packaged using bubble wrap and a sturdy cardboard box. Tracking number provided for no extra cost.
