I learned to meditate to control the pain and anxiety. My perseverance and tenacity got me out of the dark hole. Researched and found scientific proof. I chose to write this book to help others potentially going down that same road so they don't have to suffer like I did.

We had a dog name cricket, a cat name Mitzy growing up I really loved and still love them. So, from my summary you know how much our parents loved us. I think I loved them more. I'm not really putting Travis this just because my book I talked about him a lot. So now it's my dad and I. Unfortunately, mom passed March 31st, 2023. She was sick a lot she passed from end stages of COPD. But I have a lot of cousins that help us out a lot. I'm jobless as of right now but will see what happens. No kids and never married.

Dr. Dorothea King-James is the beloved wife for forty-two years to Rev. Willie James, Pastor Emeritus of New Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church of the Ville. She is the magnificent mother of four daughters and three sons; with their eldest son who was chosen to serve, 'the few, the proud, the Marines'. A retired educator who served Saint Louis Public Schools for thirty-six years, she served the district as a Resource Specialist who developed curriculum to meet the needs of mentally challenged youth. The author enjoys quiet walks and communing with God daily. Dorothea is also a grief coach for the Circle of Love grief support recovery ministry. Dorothea endeavors to share frequent challenges and tests in her relationship with God Jehovah and others as depicted in the manuscript.

I entered the fine arts program and began my career with twenty-one hours of credit. Although my teaching career did not include art in the traditional sense, it was successfully used as an enhancement. Poetry, for me is an extension of art. It creates an image, an emotion or an opinion about what is read or heard. This collection is eclectic and not limited to a particular theme or scheme.
