The author posits three distinct chronological divisions: before the Great Flood, from the Flood to the birth of Christ, and from the birth of Christ to the present day. Each period is examined through the lens of a central theme. The pre-Flood era is characterized by the absence of permanent religious institutions. The second period is dominated by the rise of the Jewish people as a chosen nation, providing a crucial foundation for the development of Christianity. Finally, the third period witnesses the spread of Christianity and its profound impact on human history. Through this framework, the author offers a rich tapestry of historical events, exploring the evolution of human nature and the underlying forces that have shaped the course of civilization.
