Prima edizione Copia autografata
Hardcover. Condizione: Near Fine. Condizione sovraccoperta: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First Edition, Stated First Printing (with Number Line to 1). Well over 100 photographs. Rare signed copy by John Redman. George Plimpton was one of his students. The inscription reads: 'George: You are one of my most improved. Keep at it. Keep it simple. John Redman, 10/20/98.' This is one of a good number of books I have/had listed that were owned by and inscribed to George Plimpton. If you're not familiar with him, take a look at is Wikipedia profile, or better yet google ' In His League: Being George Plimpton' an excellent article published in The Nation. Suffice it to say he lived a fascinating life. Once again, Mr. Plimpton has taken very good care of his book. You can see the green and white covers in the photos provided. They are exceptionally clean. They have little to no wear, a small dent on the bottom edge of the rear cover. The page edges are perfectly clean. The book is square, not slanted, and very solidly bound from cover to cover, no binding issues. The interior of the book looks terrific. The pages are very bright. The paper that was used is of an excellent quality. There is no soiling on any of the pages. No creasing. No dogeared corners. No markings. No attachments. And with the exception of the author's signed inscription, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. The dust jacket, despite much of it being white, is very clean. There are no tears. There is a little crinkling off the top edge of the front cover adjacent to the spine and there is a tiny scuff right above the bottom edge of the spine. The flaps are in excellent shape. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all. It will be fitted with a protective cover after the photos are scanned. From the dust jacket flap: 'For many years, world-famous golf instructor John Redman has been teaching a swing that makes golf what it should be: simple and natural. The Redman Swing not only has produced such outstanding touring pros as Paul Azinger, Winner of the 1992 Tour Championship, Muffin Spencer-Devlin, and Maggie Will, but it has enabled thousands of golfers to hit their best shots on the course, not just on the practice tee. Now in this wonderfully written book, enriched by personal anecdotes of playing with the top professionals and illustrated by well over 100 splendid photos, John Redman shows you how easy it is to keep golf from being hard. In other words, how to hit the ball with your practice swing. He explains the swing in a way you can instantly understand and begin to employ the very next time you address the ball.'.
