The front endpaper is inscribed "For Connie Ellen Raskin"! The author/illustrator has also drawn a 3" pic of a little girl wearing, of course spectacles. Adorable! Hardback book with dust… jacket. The dj is NOT price-clipped ($5.23) and has a couple of 1" tears, tiny chips and a little fold on the back cover. It looks very nice under the fresh mylar cover that I've added. The yellow book is sturdy, crisp and clean. NO WRITING (other than the author inscription and drawing) and no page tears. The text pages are clean and the illustrations are bright. There are a couple of light pink smudges (fingermarks, I guess) on a few pages. This is the seventh printing, 1974 Atheneum. PACKED WITH CARE AND SHIPPED IN A BOX!
