Hardcover. Condizione: VERY GOOD. SIGNED and inscribed by author 'To Professor Robert Moody with My best regads, Youssif. d. 3-11-1980.' Annotated by Moody with his extensive pencil markings and marginalia and notes to front end paper, with handwritten letter by author on his letterhead with personal updates and appreciations for Moody encouraging author to do graduate work and write about the middle east: '.It is critical of Kuwait and slightly controversial. I have already been asked for interview with the British press and t.v. and I think I will agree to meet them. The main point of the book is to bring the parliment back to Kuwait.' With xeroxed review from Middle East Economic Digest. ix,166 pp. Sewn binding with olive finished cloth, gilt spine lettering. Light damp stain to edges and DJ top head. Still in print with Rutledge, per their description: 'The economy of Kuwait is almost wholly dependent on oil. Such dependence on a depletable resource invariably stores up problems for the future, and in the case of Kuwait, these problems are aggravated by the unusually large proportion of skilled immigrant labour in the country. Dr Al-Sabah?s analysis of the economy of Kuwait, first published in 1980, puts forward suggestions that would remedy the problems of this dual dependence, and indicates the room for substantial improvement in the various sectors of the Kuwaiti economy.'.
