Signs of wear can include aesthetic issues such as scratches, dents, worn and creased covers, folded page corners and minor liquid stains. All pages and the cover are intact, but the dust cover may be missing. Pages may include moderate to heavy amount of notes and highlighting, but the text is not obscured or unreadable. Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: Good. RANA Publications, IN. An account of the lives of two men, Elder John Kline and John Francis Neff. They were members of the German Baptist Brethren in the Shenandoah Valley in the Civil War. Their religious beliefs required them to be pacifists, but Neff ended up serving in the Confederate Army. The book also highlights the impact the war had on the valley. He reports of smuggling and contraband trading, both Union and Confederate spying, hunger, destitution, and death. The author is a relative of Neff. There is a signed dedication opposite the title page to the Union Hospital Dialysis Center dated 11/17/2020. Very good copy of the hard cover book in a good dust jacket. The dust jacket has edge wear. 315 pages. Inscribed by Author(s).
