The Eternal Forest is a fictional account based on the true life experiences of George Godwin (1889-1974) and his wife Dorothy who emigrated from England in 1912 to try farming life on the north bank of the lower Fraser River, British Columbia. After four years they returned to England. This was Godwin's first novel, published in 1929 as "The Eternal Forest Under Western Skies". Godwin went on to author several fiction and non-fiction books. This re-release of the novel contains an added preface by George Woodcock, archival photos, footnotes, and 19 pages from Godwin's private journal.
