Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - Following her profound\* collection IMPOSSIBLE CONVERSATIONS, Carla M. Wilson focuses her unique vision on cinema in CURIOUS IMPOSSIBILITIES. Taking her cue from French New Wave films of the 1960s, Film Noir, and classics from the '70s and '80s, Wilson constructs a series of homages to ten visionary directors. Her 'cinematic riffs' offer creative interpretations of their iconic films that broke stylistic boundaries using non-traditional techniques. CURIOUS IMPOSSIBILITIES subtly reveals the universal pertinence these timeless films bring to audiences culturally and artistically, socially and politically. Wilson's interpretations and imagined dialogues usher the reader into a magical new theatre where darkness becomes illumination.
