Buch. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - Against Praxeas is a theological treatise by Tertullian, a prominent early Christian author who lived from approximately 160 to 230 AD. In this work, Tertullian argues against the teachings of Praxeas, who propagated a modalist view of the Trinity, suggesting that the Father, Son, and Spirit are merely different modes or aspects of the same divine being. Tertullian defends the distinctness of the three persons within the Trinity while maintaining their essential unity. This text is a significant contribution to the development of Trinitarian doctrine in the early Church and offers valuable insights into the theological debates of the late second and early third centuries. Alexander Souter's contribution enhances the accessibility of Tertullian's work for modern readers, making it an essential resource for students and scholars of theology, church history, and patristics. 'Against Praxeas' remains a foundational text for understanding the historical articulation of Christian belief. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
