The author introduces BIRD as a user-friendly interface, simplifying the complex syntax and error-prone nature of directly using NCAR routines in FORTRAN programs. The book guides readers through the essential commands for creating and displaying 3D curves, including specifying curve coordinates, defining the observer's eye position, and adjusting settings for frames of reference, projections, and even adding fences for enhanced depth perception. With BIRD, users can avoid time-consuming and intricate coding, and instead focus on the creative aspects of 3D curve visualization. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
