Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a collection of essays on the subject of Catholic Emancipation in Ireland. The author, an anonymous Catholic, argues against the proposed Veto, a measure that would have given the British Crown a say in the appointment of Catholic bishops. The author contends that the Veto would violate the principles of the Catholic Church and would not serve to improve the security or loyalty of Catholics in Ireland. The book provides a valuable historical perspective on the struggle for religious freedom in Ireland and the complex relationship between the Catholic Church and the British government.
