Examining the industry's growth, the author highlights the importance of simulcasting in expanding its reach and entertainment value. However, the book also delves into the fairness issues that have arisen, primarily the broadcast of greyhound races without proper compensation or permission from the greyhound owners themselves. Drawing parallels to the protections afforded to horse owners under the 1978 Interstate Horse Racing Act, the author argues for similar safeguards to ensure fairness and equity within the greyhound racing industry. The book's insights provide a valuable perspective on the ongoing debate surrounding the responsible regulation of simulcasting in greyhound racing.
