Puddefoot was a clergyman who worked as a missionary in Canada, and the book chronicles his experiences in the remote regions of the country. The title refers to the logbook that Puddefoot kept during his travels, which he used to record his observations and reflections on the people and places he encountered. The book is divided into chapters, each of which focuses on a particular aspect of Puddefoot's work as a sky pilot (a term used to describe a clergyman who serves in remote areas). He writes about his interactions with the indigenous peoples of Canada, including the Cree, the Ojibway, and the Inuit. He also describes his experiences ministering to settlers and prospectors in the Canadian wilderness.Throughout the book, Puddefoot reflects on the challenges and rewards of his work. He writes about the harsh conditions he faced, including extreme weather, isolation, and danger from wild animals. He also discusses the spiritual and emotional impact of his work, describing the moments of joy and inspiration he experienced as well as the moments of doubt and despair.Overall, ''Leaves From The Log Of A Sky Pilot'' provides a vivid and engaging account of life as a missionary in early 20th century Canada. It offers insight into the challenges and rewards of this unique vocation, as well as a glimpse into the lives of the people who lived in the remote regions of the country. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
